Miss Universe Egypt 2023 is Mohra Tantawy

Mohra Tantawy edged out four other competitors to be proclaimed Miss Universe Eygpt 2023 on Monday, September 25. The 21-year-old business marketing graduate and model from Cairo will now prepare to represent Egypt at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. Aya Abdelrazik was named first runner-up while Amera Othman, Doaa Meera Tarek, and Salma Eltoukhy were the rest of the finalists. This year's competition was the first edition of the national pageant since the Dubai-based company Yugen Group held the Miss Universe license for Egypt. The final show was streamed on the official Miss Universe YouTube channel. Miss USA 2023 kicked off this weekend with the arrival and check-in of the 51 contestants at this year's official venue, the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The week-long event will conclude this Friday, September 29 with the coronation of the 72nd Miss USA who will go on to represent the United States of America at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador on November 18. As the prestigious national competition begins, it is not easy to predict which of the contestants will take home the crown as it could be anyone's game. A distinguished panel of judges will have the most difficult task of choosing the next Miss USA based on their interviews, and performances during the preliminary swimsuits and evening gown competitions. The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant held its swimsuit competition on Saturday, September 23 at The Grand Ho Tram in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Wearing their official swimsuits from XITA by Katy Nguyen, the Top 18 contestants fiercely strutted the runway to earn a spot in the Top 5. At the end of the event, the five beauties who impressed the judges were Pham Thi Anh Thu (Ha Nam), Nguyen Thi Huong Ly (Gia Lai), Trinh Thi Hong Dang (HCMC), Lydie Vu (HCMC) and Bui Quynh Hoa (Hanoi). Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 is Lorena Santen

Lorena Santen was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 in a national competition on Saturday, September 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Geneva. The 26-year-old economics graduate from Aargau beat 14 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner Alia Guindi and will soon represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Marisa Varunee Kappenthuler and Emilie Bovier were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while  Jessica Alice Schmid and Dalia Del Valle Kramer rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The rest of the Top 10 were Gaia Bertoncini, Marine Sayard, Sol Cristina Von Allmen, Vanessa Williams, and Virginie Monney. Aishah Akorede triumphed over nine other competitors to be crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2023 on Friday, September 22 at the Liberty Hall Theatre in Dublin. The 23-year-old fashion model and Beauty and the Geek UK winner from County Kildare will now prepare to represent Ireland at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. Katie O'Connor was named first runner-up while Sofia Labus finished as the second runner-up. The new Miss Universe Ireland is the founder of Recrowned Ireland, a non-profit women's empowerment and social justice initiative. Aishah earned her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Griffith College in Dublin and her Master of Laws (LLM) from Queen's University Belfast. She is currently working as a corporate compliance consultant. The details for this year's Miss Universe Italy national final have been announced. Miss Universe Italy 2023 will take place live from 8:30 p.m. (GMT+1) on Sunday, October 8 at Lo Smeraldo in Canosa, Puglia. Hosts of the evening will be Italian singer and TV personality Daniele Battaglia together with Sportitalia presenter Fabrizia Santarelli. Italian actors Enzo Salvi, Vittorio Marino, and Luvi will be guests on the much-awaited night of glamour and entertainment. Philippines' Michelle Dee launches Global Spectrum Initiative

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, the representative of the Philippines to the upcoming Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador, recently launched her own foundation, the Global Spectrum Initiative (GSI). Inspired by her two brothers on the autism spectrum, Michelle is a strong advocate for autism awareness. She has been a long-time partner and Goodwill Ambassador of the Autism Society Philippines. Her foundation is dedicated to creating a world where inclusion matters for everyone. It aims to build a strong community that fosters inclusivity and acceptance and to create a sanctuary for individuals on the autism spectrum. GSI will also provide quality resources, guidance counseling, and educational programs, and create specialized rooms for learning, sensory stimulation, occupational workshops, and socialization. The 51 contestants vying for the coveted title are now on their way to the national competition in Reno, Nevada. Only one of them will be crowned as USA's representative to Miss Universe 2023 which is set for November 18 in El Salvador. As of today, September 21, 2023, a total of 70 beauties have already been confirmed as official contestants for the 72nd Miss Universe pageant. With just over two months left until the competition in El Salvador, around 30 more countries have yet to crown their official representatives to the prestigious international beauty event. Brooke Bruk-Jackson edged out 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 on Saturday, September 16 at Harare Hippodrome. The 21-year-old model will now prepare to represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this December. It will be her country's first participation in over two decades. Amanda Mpofu and Nokutenda Marumbwa were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "My heart is full of joy and gratitude. The Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 pageant has officially kicked off in an official press conference held on Monday, September 18 at the Lotte Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. Eighteen contestants selected to compete for this year's title have been officially introduced to the media — Huong Ly, Emma Le, Lydie Vu, Lan Anh, Diem My, Kim Anh, Quynh Nhu, Le Nam, Anh Nguyet, Mai Phuong Thao, Nhat Le, Dinh Thi Hoa, Bui Quynh Hoa, Pham Thu, Thu Uyên, Ngoc Mai, Hong Dang, and Lan Anh va H'Duyen. A new crown called "Life in the Sunrise" by Jessica Jewelry was also unveiled during the special event. It was crafted with natural topaz and sapphire, and worth over 2 billion Vietnamese dong. Meet Miss Universe Korea 2023 Kim So-yoon

Kim So-yoon was crowned Miss Universe Korea 2023 in a national competition that took place last August 27 in Seoul. The 28-year-old beauty from Gyeongnam succeeded last year's titleholder Hanna Kim and will represent Korea at the 72 Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this November. Over 30 contestants took part in this year's glittering event which was hosted at the Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts. Korea has yet to win the Miss Universe title since joining the prestigious pageant for the first time in 1954. Its highest achievement so far was first runner-up in 1988 with Jang Yoon-jeong. The country's last placement was third runner-up in 2007 with Honey Lee.
