Miss West Virginia USA 2023 is Nevaeh Harmon of Charleston


Nevaeh Harmon was crowned Miss West Virginia USA 2023 on Sunday, June 4 at the Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts, West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon.

The 21-year-old Filipino-American (Blasian) pre-med student from Charleston-Huntington Area will now prepare to represent West Virginia at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada this fall.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Tamia Hardy, Emma Knapp, Cassidy Myers, and Erin Wellman. They were proclaimed the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

"This is the most surreal feeling I have ever felt in my life. If you would have asked me one year ago today if I pictured myself winning, I would have said you were crazy," Nevaeh shared on social media.

"I am honored and excited to represent my wild and wonderful state and community on the national stage, and I promise I won't let you down. This year is going to be a wild one, but I'm ready for the ride," she added.

The new Miss West Virginia USA is a model, a certified pharmacy technician and currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in biochemistry at Marshall University in Huntington.

For Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2023, the title went to 18-year-old Lakyn Campbell of Parkersburg while Baylee Jarrett and Kourtney Jones were respectively announced as the first and second runners-up.

Elizabeth McDonald, Taylor Miller, and Taylor Holt were the rest of the Top 6 finalists.

Lakyn will now proceed to represent "The Mountain State" in the Miss Teen USA 2023, also in Reno, Nevada on a date yet to be announced.

Last year's winners Krystian Leonard (Miss USA 2022 Top 16 semifinalist) and Emma Kitchen crowned their respective successors at the end of the event.

Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Varvara Yakovenko beat over 50 other contestants to win Miss Intercontinental 2025 on Thursday, January 29 at V Hotel Sahl Hasheesh in Egypt. The 18-year-old model became the fourth woman from Russia to hold the international beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner María Cepero from Puerto Rico. Lorena Suárez Lara from Cuba was named first runner-up while Vanessa Natcha Wenk of Thailand and Faidha Kassim Kivuyo of Tanzania were the second and third runners-up, respectively. Miss Earth 2025 Natálie Puškinová returns home to Czech Republic

Nearly two weeks after winning the prestigious Miss Earth 2025 in the Philippines, Natálie Puškinová from the Czech Republic has made her way back home. Miss Universe Mexico 2025 is Fatima Bosch of Tabasco

Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Earth 2022 is Mina Sue Choi, first winner from Korea

Mina Sue Choi of Korea bested over 80 other competitors to win Miss Earth 2022 in a glittering competition held on Tuesday, November 29 at Cove Manila, Okada Manila in the Philippines. The 24-year-old communication student succeeded Destiny Wagner of Belize and became her country's first-ever Miss Earth winner. She also bagged three gold medals for the swimsuit, beach wear, and long gown competition, and one bronze for resort wear. Lee Seung-hyun, a 23-year-old economics student at Korea University was crowned Miss Korea 2022 in a glittering final held on Wednesday, October 26 at the Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Yoo Si-eun, 25, a student of aviation services, and Kim Go-eun, 22, a student of aviation and aeronautical engineering, were in second and third places, respectively.
