Miss Rhode Island USA 2023 is Mary Malloy


Cumberland's Mary Malloy was crowned Miss Rhode Island USA 2023 on Sunday, May 28 at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium (The VETS) in Providence.

The first runner-up was Katie Bergantine while Jesaura Peralta, Briana Vega, and Kaitlynne Santana were announced as the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Rhode Island USA is a former Miss Rhode Island Teen USA titleholder. She also participated twice at Miss California USA where she placed first runner-up in 2021 and Top 16 semifinalist in 2022.

Mary will now prepare for the Miss USA 2023 pageant to be held in Reno, Nevada later this year and hopefully conquer the second national title for the state after former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo in 2012.

The 26-year-old is a journalism graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She is also a mental health advocate who volunteers as a crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit that provides free mental health support.

For Miss Teen USA 2023, the Ocean State will be represented by Miss Rhode Island Teen USA 2023 Lola Paolissi who was crowned by her predecessor Julia Potts during Sunday's event.

Sophia Pachis, Ocean Lombard, Paige Doyle, and Krisity Sanethavong were declared the runners-up for the teens' division.

Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri crowned Miss World 2025

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand beat 107 other contestants to be crowned Miss World 2025 on Saturday, May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The 22-year-old beauty has made history for her country as she became the first-ever Thai woman to win the prestigious title. She also won the multimedia fast track challenge. Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia, Maja Klajda from Poland, and Aurélie Joachim from Martinique were announced the first, second, and third, runners-up, respectively. Spain's Juul Messiaen crowned Man of the World 2025

Man of the World 2025, the 7th edition of the annual Man of the World competition was held on Saturday, May 31 at the SM North Edsa Skydome in Quezon City, Philippines. Juul Messiaen, a 23-year-old model, athlete and real estate agent from Málaga, Spain bested over 20 other contestants to win the international male pageant. Israel Sierra of Mexico was named first runner-up while Sittichok Panitloedtewa of Thailand, Honza Jiránek of the Czech Republic, and Sworman Delgado of Panama were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss World Philippines Krishnah Gravidez has returned home following her successful stint at the 72nd Miss World last month in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Miss Universe Ukraine 2025 is Sofiya Tkachuk from Rivne

Sofiya Tkachuk, 25, from Rivne, has recently been crowned Miss Universe Ukraine 2025 and will represent Ukraine at the 74th Miss Universe pageant. Anastasiia Hrytsak was named first runner-up while Karina Zakharash, Anna Fedorenko, and Alice-Maria Oleksyuk were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. In view of the ongoing full-scale war in Ukraine, the Miss Universe Ukraine organizing committee has once again decided not to hold a national pageant. The Top Model competition of the 72nd Miss World was held on Saturday, May 24 at the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, India. Wearing stunning creations by acclaimed Indian designer Archana Kochhar, the 108 contestants impressed the judges with their elegance and confidence on the runway. According to the Miss World organization, "Each look featured exquisite fabrics sourced from Telangana, beautifully showcasing the region's rich textile heritage and craftsmanship." Christine Juliane Opiaza of the Philippines was officially crowned Miss Grand International 2024 in a special ceremony on Tuesday, June 3 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old pasarela coach from Castillejos, Zambales took over the title from former winner Rachel Gupta of India whose reign prematurely concluded due to issues with her and the MGI organization. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2025 in a special press presentation held on Tuesday, April 22 in Bangkok. The 22-year-old political science major at Thammasat University will represent Thailand at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad ( Telangana), India this May. No stranger to pageantry, Opal was previously crowned Miss Universe Thailand and went to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico where she finished as the third runner-up.
