Miss International Australia 2023 is Jazel Alarca

Jazel Mae Alarca was officially crowned Miss International Australia 2023 in a ceremony held last July 29 at the Proxima Hub in Sydney, Australia.

The 24-year-old clinical science graduate of Filipino descent succeeds last year's titleholder Anjelica Whitelaw and will now represent Australia at Miss International 2023 in Japan this October.

"I am beyond grateful. This crown, this sash, and this title hold a world of meaning," shared the new Miss International Australia following her coronation.

"This journey hasn’t been an easy one and best believe it will only get harder, but to me, it will always be worth it," she added.

"Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the journey so far, you’ve all made your own little impact."

No stranger to pageantry, Jazel previously held the titles Miss Philippines Australia and Charity Queen Australia 2018. She also placed fourth runner-up at Miss Grand Australia 2019 and bagged the Woman of Heart award.

Hosted by the Proxima Hub Millionaire Alliance, the Miss International Australia 2023 coronation was held under the new national director Julieta De Leon of Stargazer Production.

The star-studded event was attended by Miss Earth Australia 2019, Susana Danielle Downes, Miss International Australia 2021 Monique Shippen, and Mrs. Supermodel Worldwide Australia 2023 Kristine Santos, among others.
