Miss Universe Guatemala 2023 is Michelle Cohn — first mother to compete at Miss Universe 2023


Melanie Michelle Cohn Bech, representing Ciudad Capital, was crowned Miss Universe Guatemala 2023 on Sunday, August 6 at the Centro Cultural Miguel Ángel Asturias in Guatemala City.

The 28-year-old mother of two, model, host, and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent Guatemala at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's winner Ivana Batchelor.

Aside from winning the title among 16 equally beautiful competitors, the new Miss Universe Guatemala also bagged the Mejor Modelo Fotografíca and Top Model awards.

Hassell Adriana Zúñiga Reyes of Izabal and Brianna Corina Herrarte Barrios of Guatemala en USA were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 6 were the representatives of Alta Verapaz, Cielo Keila Stefany Pereira Caal (third runner-up), San Raymundo, Dayana Clarisa García del Cid (fourth runner-up), and Santa Catarina Pinula, Evelyn Gamaly Tejada Rivas (fifth runner-up).

Since the Miss Universe Organization significantly changed its rules allowing mothers and married women to participate, this is the first time in history that Guatemala will be represented by a mother.

Since joining Miss Universe for the first time in 1955, Guatemala has yet to win the title. Its highest placements were in the Top 10 in 2019 with Jessica Scheel and in 1984 with Ilma Urrutia, who eventually bagged her country's first Miss International title in Yokohama, Japan.

Miss USA 2025 is Audrey Eckert from Nebraska

Audrey Eckert from Nebraska bested 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss USA 2025 on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. The 23-year-old digital safety advocate and a former Husker cheerleader also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. during the preliminary competition. She will now prepare to represent the United States of America at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Polish-American Emily Reng to represent Poland at Miss Universe 2025

Polish-American Emily Reng was officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization as Miss Universe Poland 2025 on Wednesday, October 22. The 20-year-old will now prepare to represent Poland at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this coming November. Emily is a graduate of John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois and is currently a student at the University of South Carolina. The new Miss Universe Poland is no stranger to pageantry. Qhawekazi Mazaleni was crowned Miss South Africa 2025 on Saturday, October 25 in glittering event held at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. The 24-year-old beauty from Gonubie, Eastern Cape edged out eight other finalists to win the coveted national title. She succeeded last year's winner Mia le Roux of Western Cape. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Malaysia's national costume for Miss Universe 2025 officially unveiled

The Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) has officially unveiled the national costume of Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 Chloe Lim for Miss Universe 2025. A press conference was held for the "A Fellowship with Miss Universe Malaysia 2025" on Thursday, October 23 at the Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar. Hosted by Miss Universe Malaysia 2025 Top 5 finalist Priyanka Sockanathan, the event was attended by MUMO Chairperson Datin Seri Livonia Ricky Guing and MUMO National Director Charissa Chong. Miss Turkey 2024: Meet the Top 20 finalists

A total of 20 finalists have been selected to compete for Miss Turkey 2024 following an elimination round held on Wednesday, September 4 in Istanbul. The grand final will take place on September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel and the winners are expected to represent Turkey at the next Miss World and Miss Supranational pageants. No competition was held last year and this year's upcoming final will be the 42nd edition of the annual national pageant. Puerto Rico's national costume for the upcoming 74th Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2025) has been officially revealed on Tuesday, October 21 at the San Juan Museum.
