Int'l franchise applications opened for Miss Universe 2024
The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced on Monday, August 7 that they are open to applications from potential national directors who would like their country-level pageant to be a part of the 2024 MUO system.
This is the first time in the pageant's 72-year history that MUO is taking formal applications from the public, and this open process reflects the organization's commitment to being as inclusive and representative as possible.
"We often hear that pageant professionals and fans would love to be a part of the international system but have no idea how to get involved. Well, we've just opened our first-ever open procurement for potential partners who want to host a competition and be part of Miss Universe 2024. And, people can fill it out right on an online form."
An official press release further clarified that applications are open to any potential partner not currently part of the system for 2023 while existing national directors will have a separate renewal process.
The online system opened in August 2023, and the application window will close on September 30, 2023. Head over to the Miss Universe official website to apply. Final decisions will be made in December 2023.
Meanwhile, the Miss Universe 2023 final is set for November 18 in El Salvador where reigning queen R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the much-awaited event.
