Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2023 is Ileann Powery


Ileann Powery was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2023 in a national competition held on Saturday, September 2 at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa.

The 25-year-old entrepreneur and professional volleyball player from West Bay will now represent the Cayman Islands at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. She succeeds last year's titleholder Chloe Powery-Doxey.

Sydonie Barrett and Tracey Campbell were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Ayana Woolery and Mili Almaguer were the rest of the finalists.

This year's event which was streamed live on the official Miss Universe YouTube channel was the first edition of the national pageant since the Cayman government dropped the license earlier this year.

The Miss Universe Cayman Islands Committee is now headed by media personality Catherine Tyson-Sewell with Derri Dacres-Lee as national director.

Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Top 6 national costumes announced

The spectacular Miss Universe Philippines 2026 national costume competition took place on Thursday, April 16 at the Urdaneta City Cultural and Sports Center in Pangasinan. This year's show, themed Water, was hosted by the reigning Miss Eco Philippines, Gabbi Carballo. The contestants took to the stage, displaying Filipino artistry through their colorful costumes. Following the competition the costumes from Baguio City , Roxie Baeyens, Iloilo Province , Nicklyn Jutay, Negros Occidental , Alexandria Colmenares, Pampanga , Allyson Hetland, Pangasinan , Donna Nuguid, and Tacloban City , Jacqueline Gulrajani were announced the Top 6. Nadia Mejia-Webb crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025

Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. The 29-year-old model and singer will now prepare to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Daphne Currat of Tungurahua and Christie Termidor of Región Sierra were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Patthama Jitsawat, representing the Thai province of Chonburi, was crowned Miss Grand Thailand 2026 on Saturday, March 28 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 32-year-old beauty edged out 76 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds last year's winner Sarunrat Puagpipat of Phuket. Panasaya Angelica Damaagd of Buriram was names first runner-up while Ilin Nabsuk of Phuket, Natthakitta Kerdkanchiroj of Saraburi, and Naruemol Chaloemroek of Sukhothai were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. Hanoi's Phan Phuong Oanh is the new Miss World Vietnam

Phan Phuong Oanh was proclaimed the winner of the Miss World Vietnam 2025 pageant held on Sunday, March 29 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 23-year-old international business graduate from Hanoi bested 46 other contestants to clinch the coveted national title. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title.
