Miss Universe Guyana 2023 is Lisa Narine


Lisa Narine edged out seven other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Guyana 2023 on Saturday, September 2 at the Guyana Marriott Hotel in Georgetown.

The 26-year-old creative coordinator, radio host, entrepreneur, and advocate representing the Pomeroon-Supenaam region will now prepare to represent Guyana at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November.

Lieve Blanckaert of Georgetown and Chandini Baljor of Essequibo Islands-West Demerara were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Colline Ward of Bartica and Melissa McLean of La Parfaite Harmonie rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

This year's pageant was the first edition held under US-based talent acquisition leader and award-winning pageant director, Teri Brown-Walker, following a 5-year hiatus.

The new Miss Universe Guyana holds a diploma in business and marketing management and currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in international relations at the University of Guyana. She enjoys dancing, modeling, and archery as her hobbies.

No stranger to pageantry, Lisa previously joined the virtual Miss Glocal International 2021 competition where she finished as first runner-up. She also achieved the same placement at Miss India Guyana 2021 before getting appointed as Miss Top Model International Guyana 2022.

Miss Universe Mexico 2026 is María Vargas of Jalisco

María Vargas of Jalisco beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Mexico 2026 on Saturday, August 29 at Tierra Sagrada in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur. The 28-year-old model and businesswoman from Guadalajara will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico this November. Mariana Macías of Michoacán finished as first runner-up while Fernanda Abaroa of Guerrero, Génesis Vera of Veracruz, and Ximena Ochoa of Ciudad de México placed second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The contestants from Colima, María Zepeda, Morelos, Zayda Ríos, Nuevo León, Arisbe Cueto, Oaxaca, Estefany Luna, and Tabasco, Ximena Aranda were the Top 10 finalists. Miss Universe Australia 2026 is Caity Worthington from Brisbane

Caitlin Worthington was declared the winner of Miss Universe Australia 2026 at the national final on Wednesday, August 26, held at the Crown Melbourne. The 28-year-old radiographer and model from Brisbane succeeds her predecessor Lexie Brant. She will represent Australia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Georgia Van Zaanen was awarded first runner-up, while Rowan Brent-White, Uma Dawson, and Kristabella Leembruggen took the second, third, and fourth runner-up positions, respectively. Sixty finalists, chosen from the initial round of the competition, graced the runway, displaying creations from local designers representing their countries. Justus Kelley of Virginia edged out 50 other contestants to win Miss USA 2026 on Thursday, August 27 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida. The 31-year-old senior philanthropic advisor and model also bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. She was crowned by her predecessor Audrey Eckert of Nebraska. Kiran Reddy of Georgia crowned Miss Teen USA 2026

The 44th Miss USA beauty pageant was held on Wednesday, August 26 at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida. Kiran Reddy, 18, from Georgia bested 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss Teen USA 2026. She is expected to represent the USA at Miss Teen Universe 2026 in Cambodia this October. Miss World 2026: Meet the continental winners of the Head-to-Head Challenge

The Head-to-Head Challenge for Miss World 2026 took place on August 22 and 24 at the Khanh Hoa Children's Palace in Nha Trang, Vietnam. During the event, all contestants presented themselves and shared speeches about their initiatives. From each continental group, five contestants were selected to move on to the second round, where four continental winners were determined. The continental winners were Romanda Hombir from South Africa, Georgia-Lee Gill from Trinidad and Tobago, Asia Rose Simpson from the Philippines, and Julia Kühnle from Germany. By winning their respective continental groups, they have already earned their spots in the Top 40. Based on their answers during the final round, one of them will be declared the overall challenge winner and will automatically progress to the Top 20. Aslihan Morali, from Ancaster, Ontario, was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2026 on Saturday, August 8 at the Chrysler Theatre in Windsor.
