OPINION: Miss Universe 2023 best of the final night

The 72nd Miss Universe competition culminated in the magical El Salvador in the weekend and we still can't get over how spectacular the show was.

From the stage, production, contestants, guest performers, and distinguished judges, to the energy of the crowded Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda, everything was flawless.

The host country delivered its promise — it was undoubtedly one of the best editions of the annual Miss Universe pageant in recent years.

Mexico's Andrés Briseño wins Mister International 2026

The 18th Mister International pageant wrapped up with an electrifying final show on Saturday, September 26 at MCC Hall Bangkapi in Bangkok, Thailand. Andrés Briseño, a 21-year-old athlete and law student from Mexico, was proclaimed Mister International 2026. This remarkable achievement marks a historic moment as he becomes the first Mexican ever to claim this prestigious title. Ignacio Monclus of Spain was named first runner-up, while Indonesia's Gede Aiswarya Kartika, Turkey's Doğukan Navdar, Vietnam's Nguyen Vu Linh, and Sri Lanka's Ravindu Wijesooriya secured the second, third, fourth, and fifth runner-up positions respectively. Chile's Nathalie Briones assumes Miss Earth Water 2025 title

Miss Earth Organization has just announced Nathalie Briones from Chile as the newly appointed Miss Earth Water 2025. The 20-year-old advertising student and model took over the title following the dethronement of Trinh My Anh of Vietnam for competing in another pageant. Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 is Nguyen Quynh Anh from Hanoi

Nguyen Quynh Anh was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2026 on Friday, October 2 at The Opera in Hai Phong. She takes over the crown from the previous year's reigning queen, Nguyen Huong Giang. The 27-year-old model hailing from Hanoi will now prepare to represent Vietnam at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant, which will take place in Puerto Rico this November. Perla Harb to represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2026

Perla Harb will represent Lebanon at the 75th Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2026) taking place in Puerto Rico this November. The 23-year-old was crowned Miss Lebanon last year and subsequently participated in Miss World 2026 last month in Vietnam, advancing to the Top 40 out of 111 competitors. "One year ago, I was crowned Miss Lebanon and everything changed," she shared recently while unveiling her official Miss Universe Lebanon sash. "What a year it has been. Danielle Adewisi, a medical doctor and advocate for women's health, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2026 on Sunday, September 27 in Lagos. Following rounds of online screenings, the Miss Ukraine Committee has officially announced the 25 contestants for the Miss Ukraine 2023 pageant. This year's event will be held in an online format where every Ukrainian will for the first time be able to participate as a jury by voting on the Miss Ukraine official website . According to the organizers, proceeds from the competition will be used to help and support those affected by the ongoing armed conflict in the country. Queen Elizabeth Makune was crowned Miss Universe Tanzania 2026 last Sunday, September 20 at Haddy Pro Hall, Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam. Sabrina Deraneck was proclaimed Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 on Saturday, August 13 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Alia Abized, 19, of Nueva Esparta, and Valentina Martinez, 22, of Anzoátegui were named Miss Elite Venezuela and Miss Grand Venezuela 2023, respectively.
