Miss Botswana 2024 is Anicia Gaothusi from Tutume


Anicia Gaothusi was crowned Miss Botswana 2024 (Miss World Botswana 2024) in a glittering ceremony held on Saturday, March 23 at the Royal Aria Conference Centre in Tlokweng, Gaborone.

The 22-year-old student at the Gaborone University College of Law and Professional Studies (GUC) beat nine other finalists to win the national title. She is now expected to represent Botswana at the 72nd Miss World competition.

Halle Chandapiwa Hirschfeld and Sebaga Lea Manyapetsa were named the first and second princesses, respectively.

Completing the Top 10 contestants were Charmaine Keletso Reasentse, Emma-Anne Tshisimogo, Lefika Arhea Tladi, Lorato Kganyapelo, Otshepo Omphile Nthonyana, Relebanye Bakane and Christina Karin Vanstaden.

The new Miss Botswana is no stranger to pageantry. She previously held the title Miss Teen Botswana 2019 and participated in Miss Teen International 2019 in Gurugram, India where she finished as second runner-up.

Her predecessor, Lesego Chombo (Miss Botswana 2022), placed in the Top 4 and received the title Miss World Africa during the recently held 71st Miss World in Mumbai, India.

Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 is Abbigail Sturgin

Lao-Kiwi Abbigail Sturgin was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 on Tuesday, June 24 at the SkyCity Theatre in Auckland. The 28-year-old police officer succeeds last year's winner Victoria Velasquez Vincent and will represent New Zealand at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Hannah Cross was named first runner-up while Noor Randhawa, Gazelle Garcia, and Deborah Lambie were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Nathalie Yasmin Mogbelzada, representing Noord-Holland, was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Netherlands 2025 on Saturday, July 5 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. The 28-year-old beauty from Amsterdam was crowned by her predecessor  Faith Landman and will now prepare to represent the Netherlands at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. The 21-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Halima Hoy and will now prepare to represent Belize at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Universe Curacao 2025 is Camille Sabina Thomas

Camille Sabina Thomas was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Curacao 2025 last June 7 at the Sandals Royal Resort in Santa Barbara. The 26-year-old actress, former military academy officer, entrepreneur, and leader will represent Curacao at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.
