Miss Nederland 2024 is Amber Rustenberg from Amsterdam


Amber Rustenberg was crowned Miss Nederland 2024 (Miss Netherlands 2024) in a national competition held on Sunday, June 16 at Studio 21 in Hilversum.

The 23-year-old entrepreneur from Amsterdam edged out nine other finalists to win the national title.

She succeeds Rikkie Valerie Kollé, last year's winner and the first-ever transgender woman to represent the Netherlands at Miss Universe.

According to the distinguished panel of judges, they chose the new Miss Nederland because she is "eloquent, authentic, intelligent, confident, positive in life, and has a warm personality which she radiates on stage."

Headed by national director Monica van Ee, the Miss Nederland organization previously held the right to send Dutch delegates to the Miss Universe pageant.

This year, the license for Miss Universe Netherlands was taken over by Milou Verhoeks, founder of the Miss Beauty of the Netherlands.

72nd Miss World heats up with contestants' arrival in Telangana, India

Miss World 2025, the 72nd Miss World competition has officially begun in Telengana, India with the arrival of over 100 contestants vying for the highly coveted title. The beauties were checked into their official residence hotel, the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, and have been rehearsing for the opening ceremony this coming Saturday, May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. According to the Miss World organization, the upcoming ceremony "promises to be a vibrant display of traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances, beautifully choreographed in a parade-style theme that will highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region." Anne Baldridge was crowned Miss Maine USA 2024 in a glittering state competition held on March 10 at Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, Maine. The 25-year-old TV news reporter representing Casco Bay bested 11 other contestants to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Juliana Morehouse Locklear. Anne holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Louisville and a master's in journalism from Ball State University. The Miss Czech Republic 2025 national final took place on Saturday, May 3 at the Forum Karlín in Prague. Ten finalists competed the crowns at stake. Linda Górecká clinched the title of Miss World Czech Republic 2025 and is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World.
