Miss International Australia 2024 is Selina McCloskey


Selina McCloskey was crowned Miss International Australia 2024 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, July 13 Sir Stamford Circular Quay in Sydney.

The 23-year-old model from Eleebana, New South Wales succeeds last year's titleholder Jazel Alarca and will represent Australia at Miss International 2024 in Tokyo, Japan this November.

"Words can't explain this feeling. Being appointed to my dream job, Miss International Australia, is a surreal moment I'll never forget. To be able to represent my country with such pride is a true honour, knowing my younger self would be so proud," she wrote online.

"This title is more than just a sash and a crown, but rather an opportunity for self-development and a platform to ignite my voice," she added.

"I'm excited that my passion for women empowerment, has the capacity to be showcased on a greater platform through my campaign, 'Her Voice, Our Future.' Look forward to involving and sharing this journey with you all."

The new Miss International Australia is a graduate of business as well as innovation and entrepreneurship from the University of Newcastle.

No stranger to pageantry, Selina was third runner-up at Miss World Australia 2022 and finished the same placement at Miss Grand Australia 2023.

This year's much awaited pageant will conclude on November 24 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dominika Viktorie Kotoučková has taken on the role of Miss Universe Czech Republic 2026 following Sophia Maria Osako's decision to resign. "Representing the Czech Republic is a great honor and a great responsibility. Saffron Maya Snook from Thailand has won Miss Global 2026 on Sunday, October 11 at MCC Hall, The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthaburi, Thailand. Jihan Dimack from Tanzania was proclaimed the winner of Miss Grand International 2026 on Saturday, October 10 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. María Alejandra López Pérez was crowned Miss Universe Colombia 2026 on Saturday, October 10 in Barranquilla. The 32-year-old model and engineer from Risaralda will represent Colombia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this coming November.
