Indira Ampiot to represent France at Miss Universe 2024


Miss France 2023 Indira Ampiot officially confirmed she will head to Mexico to represent France at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) pageant this November.

The 19-year-old shared the news on social media today. She said: "I am so happy to officially announce this news to you. I'm heading to Mexico to represent France at the Miss Universe competition next November."

"Miss Universe has always been a dream to achieve. I am determined to make France shine and try to win the crown," she added and thanked the Miss France organization for the opportunity and their support.

Indira hails from from Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe. She was crowned Miss Basse-Terre and Miss Guadeloupe 2022 before becoming the fourth woman from her region to win Miss France.

Last December, she crowned her successor Miss France 2024 Eve Gilles of Nord Pas-de-Calais at the Zénith de Dijon in Dijon.

Miguel Alejandro Ortega Alaniz, representing Spain, was proclaimed the winner of Mister Global 2025 on Sunday, October 5 at MCC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old personal trainer and sports enthusiast from Valencia bested 35 other contestants to win the male beauty title. He succeeds Daumier Corilla from the Philippines. William Badell of Venezuela and Alejandro Silva of Mexico were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss USA 2025, the much-awaited 74th Miss USA pageant will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This year's competition marks the fourth occasion it will take place in Reno after 2019, 2022, and 2023. Also, this will be the first edition under the leadership of the new Chairman, President, and CEO, Thom Brodeur.
