Miss World Dominican Republic 2024 is Mayra Delgado


Mayra Delgado was crowned Miss Mundo Dominicana 2024 in a national competition held on Saturday, November 9 at the Barceló Bávaro Convention Center in Punta Cana.

The 23-year-old beauty representing Distrito Nacional bested 15 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Maria Victoria Bayo Martinez and will represent the Dominican Republic at the 72nd Miss World.

Adriana Müller González of Samaná and Maria Fernanda Tiburcio of Jarabacoa were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Jade Desiree Vidal of Punta Cana and Melany Minaya Lopez of La Romana rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

Completing the Top 10 were beauties from Santiago, Adelin Mejia, Duarte, Lorenny Gutiérrez, La Altagracia, Ajomi Novoa Jaquez, Sánchez Ramírez, Nicole Reynoso, and La Vega, Felicia Gomez.

The new Miss World Dominican Republic has a degree in business management and administration, along with notable certifications from Harvard Business School, Barna Management School, and Wilkes University.

Mayra is also a strong advocate for social welfare. She leads two important foundations: Manos Surcadas RD, which helps abandoned elderly people in nursing homes, and AIP Breast Prevention & Care RD, which focuses on breast cancer prevention and early treatment.

In addition to her charitable work, she is the CEO of Premium Class Modeling Academy, a top school dedicated to training future models and leaders. At the academy, she creates a supportive environment for young women to reach their full potential, emphasizing excellence and guidance.

Miss Turkey 2024: Idil Bilgen wins Miss Turkey World 2024

Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 19 other competitors to win the national title. She will prepare to represent Türkiye at the 72nd Miss World whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Cemre Üker clinched the Miss Turkey Supranational 2024 crown and will head to Poland to compete in Miss Supranational 2025 next summer. Aylin Molla, Melissa Öykü Yorulmaz, Candan Şeviktürk rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Universe Argentina 2025 is Aldana Masset of Entre Rios

Aldana Masset was crowned Miss Universe Argentina 2025 on Sunday, May 25 at Mansión Tango in Buenos Aires. The 25-year-old singer and image consultant from the province of Entre Rios beat 27 other contestants to win the national title. Julieta Ricardez of La Pampa was named first runner-up while Judit Grnja of Chaco, Ayelen Torres of La Rioja, Carolina Danieri of Comunidad Extranjera, and Xiomara Menna of Misiones were the second, third, fourth and fifth runners-up, respectively. Transgender woman Nguyen Huong Giang to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2025

Former Miss International Queen winner Nguyen Huong Giang has been officially announced on Wednesday, September 25 as Miss Universe Vietnam 2025. The 33-year-old model, singer and actress from Hanoi made history as the first ever transgender woman to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe. Huong Giang rose to prominence when she joined the fourth season of Vietnam Idol. She also competed and won The Amazing Race Vietnam 2014 with her ex-boyfriend Criss Lai. Miss Turkey 2024: Meet the Top 20 finalists

A total of 20 finalists have been selected to compete for Miss Turkey 2024 following an elimination round held on Wednesday, September 4 in Istanbul. The grand final will take place on September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel and the winners are expected to represent Turkey at the next Miss World and Miss Supranational pageants. No competition was held last year and this year's upcoming final will be the 42nd edition of the annual national pageant. Miss Charm 2025 is Anna Blanco from Venezuela

Anna Blanco Flores from Venezuela beat over 30 other contestant to win Miss Charm 2025 on Friday, December 12 in Ho Chi Minh City. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter and model was crowned by her predecessor Rashmita Rasindran from Malaysia. She became the first Venezuelan woman to hold the international beauty title. Luisa Victoria Malz from Germany and Rinanda Maharani from Indonesia were respectively announced the first and second runners-up while Francia Cortés of Mexico and Naruemol Phimphakdee of Thailand rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss Venezuela World 2025 is Mística Nuñez of Falcón

Mística Nuñez, representing Falcón, was crowned Miss Venezuela World 2025 in a national competition held at the Studio 1 of Venevisión on Wednesday, November 12 in Caracas. The 24-year-old pharmacist and medical student succeeds last year's titleholder Valeria Cannavò and will represent Venezuela at the Miss World 2026 competition. Zimbabwe will return to Miss Universe pageant after 22 years

After a 22-year absence, Zimbabwe, a landlocked country in southern Africa, is expected to return to the Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador later this year. Previously held by the first ever Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Yvette D'Almeida Chakras, the Miss Universe license is now in the hands of Tendai Hunda, a former Miss World Zimbabwe and Miss Intercontinental 2015 fourth runner-up. Joining her as chief of operations and managing director is Zimbabwean television personality and communications consultant, Rumbidzai Takawira. Zimbabwe last joined Miss Universe in the year 2001 with Tsungai Muswerakuenda. Its highest placement was achieved in 2000 when Corinne Crewe finished in the Top 10 from a field of 79 competitors in Nicosia, Cyprus.
