Miss Earth 2024 kicks off in the Philippines

Miss Earth 2024, the 24th edition of the annual Miss Earth pageant has officially kicked off in the Philippines. Over 70 beauties from different parts of the planet have arrived in the host country to compete for the crown. They were officially introduced in a press presentation on Wednesday, October 23 at the 5-star Okada Manila Hotel in Parañaque City, Metro Manila. The contestants walked the red carpet runway wearing stunning creations by Filipino designers, each featuring the indigenous weaves of the Philippines. USA's Bea Millan Windorski won the gold medal for Best Philippine Heritage Attire while Tamara Aznar of the Dominican Republic and Tiffany Faith Wanyama of Kenya received the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Jasmine Jorgensen of Cape Verde, Brianna McSween of the US Virgin Islands, Jessica Lane of Australia, and Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir of Iceland were awarded Darlings of the Press. Miss Earth 2024 final date and venue officially announced

The Miss Earth organization officially announced the Philippines on Monday, September 2 as the host country of the Miss Earth 2024 competition. According to the organizers, this year's theme is "Heritage" and the pageant will not only showcase the breathtaking eco-tourism destinations and rich heritage of the Philippines but also feature the heritage of participating countries from around the world. This year's competition, now on its 24th edition, will start in October and the final coronation night will be held on November 9 at Okada Manila in Parañaque City, Metro Manila. Reigning Miss Earth Drita Ziri from Albania will crown her successor at the culmination of the event. All events will be streamed live worldwide on Miss Earth's social media accounts. Miss Earth United Arab Emirates 2024 is Noura Aljasmi

The United Arab Emirates is all set to debut at the Miss Earth pageant with the newly crowned Miss Middle East 2024 (Miss Earth United Arab Emirates 2024). Noura, a 22-year-old aviation science student from Abu Dhabi, bested 29 other contestants to win the beauty title. She made history as the first-ever Emirati woman to participate in Miss Earth. The inaugural edition of the Miss Middle East pageant was held in Ras Al Khaimah. Reigning Miss Earth from Albania, Drita Ziri, attended the event as a special guest judge. "Being in this competition goes far beyond modeling and walking the runway. It's about embodying diplomacy and responsibility," said the new Miss Earth UAE. Miss Earth Thailand 2024 is Rachadawan Fowler

Rachadawan "Soda" Fowler was crowned Miss Earth Thailand 2024 during the national competition on Sunday, August 18 at the InterContinental Bangkok. The 22-year-old Thai-American beauty beat 15 other finalists to win the title. She will represent Thailand at Miss Earth 2024 whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Nanticha Kasia was named Miss Earth Land while Wantira Prompraphan, Jidapa Charoenpong, and Kanchanok Puttharakchat were Miss Earth Air, Water, and Fire, respectively. Cora Bliault, last year's winner who made the Top 4 at Miss Earth 2023, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. The new Miss Earth Thailand graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nutrition from the University of Surrey in Guildford, England. Miss Earth Japan 2024 is Ann Furukawa of Hyogo

Ann Furukawa bested over 20 other contestants to win Miss Earth Japan 2024 during the national competition held on Thursday, August 1 in Tokyo. The 21-year-old representing Hyogo succeeds last year's winner Kirari Oshiro and will now prepare to compete in Miss Earth 2024 whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Yukina Uehara of Saitama, Nako Takeuchi of Oita, and Yoshino Maruta of Kagawa placed second (Miss Air Japan), third (Miss Water Japan) and fourth (Miss Fire Japan), respectively. Miss Earth Thailand 2024: Meet the contestants

The Top 16 finalists vying for the title of Miss Earth Thailand 2024 have been officially revealed earlier this week. Headed by Miss Earth Thailand national director Dr. Sirikan Onsonkran, a panel of judges consisting of beauty pageant gurus and influencers in an audition round held in Bangkok. This year's national final will be held on August 18 at the InterContinental Bangkok and will be broadcast live on Thai TV Channel ONE31. The winner of the upcoming competition, to be crowned by reigning Miss Earth Thailand and Miss Earth Fire 2023 Cora Bliault, will represent "The Land of Smiles" at Miss Earth 2024. Miss Earth Nigeria 2024 is Shuntell Ezomo

Shuntell Ezomo was crowned Miss Earth Nigeria 2024 during the national competition held on Sunday, July 21 at the Palacio Event Centre in Port Harcourt, River State. The 25-year-old model, media personality and YouTuber from Edo State will represent Nigeria at the Miss Earth 2024 pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder Shelly Usman. Igbele Blessing of Delta, Cynthia Penelope of Enugu, Favour James of Abuja, and Mary Agioboh of AkwaIbom were crowned Miss Earth Nigeria Air, Water, Fire and Eco-Tourism, respectively. The 24th Miss Earth competition is expected to be held in Southeast Asia. The Miss Earth organization has yet to officially announce its final date and venue. Nathalie Díaz is the newly crowned Miss Earth Spain 2024 and will represent her country at the Miss Earth 2024 pageant. She succeeds last year's winner Edurne Fernández. Her elemental court consists of first runner-up Paula Pérez (Miss Earth Air), second runner-up Jheimy Piña (Miss Earth Water), and third runner-up Frangelis Rivero (Miss Earth Fire). The new Miss Earth Spain is 25 years old and hails from the beautiful city of Almería. She works as a professional personal development coach and dedicates her life to helping others reach their full potential. Miss Earth Laos 2024 is Fachalin Chounlamounty

Fachalin Chounlamounty was crowned Miss Earth Laos 2024 in a national competition held on Friday, July 19 at the Lao National Cultural Hall in Vientiane. The 24-year-old beauty from the province of Bolikhamsai bested 15 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Nuolao Wamenglor. Rounding out the Top 4 finalists were Malisa Komphasouk, Phouttasone Phounvilay, and Manichanh Sounanthavong. The new Miss Earth Laos is no stranger to pageantry, having joined last year's competition where she made the Top 4 and earned the title of Miss Earth Air Laos 2023. Stephany Diaz to represent Cuba at Miss Earth 2024

Stephany Diaz, representing Isla de la Juventud, was proclaimed Miss Earth Cuba 2024 during the national competition held last June 22 at the Seminole Theatre in Homestead, Florida. The 19-year-old native of Güines, Cuba also bagged the Best Interview award. She received her crown from Miss Earth Cuba 2022 Sheyla Ravelo Perez with the presence of former titleholders Monica Aguilar, and Ariana Barouk. This year's competition, presented by NBNC (Nuestra Belleza Nacional Cuba), also awarded the elemental titles of Miss Earth Cuba Air, Miss Earth Cuba Water and Miss Earth Cuba Fire respectively to Mariana Chavez, Leidy Laura, and Stefhany Perez. The new Miss Earth Cuba holds a degree in political science and is currently attending law school with the aspiration to work as an advocate in a non-profit organization. The Miss Teen and Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2024 final competition was held on Saturday, July 6 at Studio 21 in Hilversum. Faylinn Pattileamonia was crowned Miss Beauty of the Netherlands 2024 and at the same time earned the title of Miss Earth Netherlands 2024. The 20-year-old beauty from Almelo in the province of Overijssel will represent her country at the Miss Earth 2024 pageant in Southeast Asia later this year. She succeeds last year's winner from the same province, Noa Claus, who placed in the Top 8 at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam last December. The title Miss Teen of the Netherlands 2024 went to 17-year-old Liora Smith of Groningen. She is expected to represent the Netherlands in the next Miss Teen International pageant. Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir to represent Iceland at Miss Earth 2024

After 4 years, Iceland is set to return to the Miss Earth pageant with the newly announced Miss Earth Iceland 2024 Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir. Hrafnhildur, 20, from Reykjavík, will represent the land of "fire and ice" at the Miss Earth 2024 (24th Miss Earth) competition in Asia later this year. She is the first Miss Earth Iceland under the Ungfrú Ísland (Miss Iceland) organization, the same license holder for Miss Universe and Miss Supranational pageants. No stranger to pageantry, Hrafnhildur was crowned Miss Universe Iceland 2022 and went on to compete in the 71st Miss Universe held in New Orleans. Iceland, a Nordic island country, debuted at the Miss Earth pageant in 2007 and went on a 12-year hiatus before returning in 2020. Miss Earth Wales 2024 is Grace Gavigan from Port Talbot

Bee advocate from  Port Talbot,  Grace Gavigan, was crowned Miss Earth Wales 2024 in a competition held last Sunday, May 26 at the Memo Arts Centre in Barry. The 18-year-old Wildlife Trust volunteer and OhSoEco ambassador who founded Pollinator Pathways NPT succeeds last year's winner Carys Mai Havard. Sarann John, Megan Evans, and Georgia Grace Williams were crowned Miss Earth Wales Air, Miss Earth Wales Water, and Miss Earth Wales Fire 2024, respectively. The new Miss Earth Wales will now prepare to represent the "Land of Song" at the Miss Earth 2024 pageant in Asia later this year. "As Miss Earth Wales I will continue to dream of a greener, wilder future and actively promote the preservation of our precious environment and the protection of Mother Earth on a global scale," Grace shared online.
