Miss Earth 2024 kicks off in the Philippines


Miss Earth 2024, the 24th edition of the annual Miss Earth pageant has officially kicked off in the Philippines. Over 70 beauties from different parts of the planet have arrived in the host country to compete for the crown.

They were officially introduced in a press presentation on Wednesday, October 23 at the 5-star Okada Manila Hotel in Parañaque City, Metro Manila.

The contestants walked the red carpet runway wearing stunning creations by Filipino designers, each featuring the indigenous weaves of the Philippines.

USA's Bea Millan Windorski won the gold medal for Best Philippine Heritage Attire while Tamara Aznar of the Dominican Republic and Tiffany Faith Wanyama of Kenya received the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Jasmine Jorgensen of Cape Verde, Brianna McSween of the US Virgin Islands, Jessica Lane of Australia, and Hrafnhildur Haraldsdóttir of Iceland were awarded Darlings of the Press.

Shreeya Bokhoree of Mauritius, Stephany Diaz of Cuba, Ryu Seo Bin of Korea, and Brooke Smith of England were the fan vote winners for Best in Appearance.

Former Miss Earth queens Priscilla Meirelles, Jamie Herrell, Karen Ibasco, and Michelle Gomez presented the medals to the winners.

Reigning Miss Earth Drita Ziri from Albania and her elemental court Yllana Aduana from the Philippines, Do Thi Lan Anh from Vietnam, and Cora Bliault from Thailand hosted the glittering event.

The Miss Earth 2024 coronation night will be held on November 9. This year's pageant welcomed the debut of Algeria and the UAE and the return of Cabo Verde, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Fiji, Hong Kong, Iceland, Italy, and Samoa.

Miss Universe Ireland 2026 is Aideen Howard from Limerick

Aideen Howard beat over 20 other contestants to win Miss Universe Ireland 2026 on Saturday, June 20 at the Bonnington Hotel in Dublin. The 22-year-old model and student from Castletroy, Limerick, was crowned by her predecessor Aadya Srivastava from Galway. She will now prepare to represent Ireland at Miss Universe 2026 in Puerto Rico this November. Leah Sheehan, also from Limerick, and Eileen Coyle from Derry were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Originally from Boston, the new Miss Universe Ireland moved to Limerick at age 12. Miss Universe Myanmar 2026 is May Grace Parry

Miss Hpa-An, May Grace Parry, was crowned Miss Universe Myanmar 2026 on Wednesday, June 17 at the Hexagon Complex in Yangon. The 31-year-old Australian-Burmese model and actress edged out over 30 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Myat Yadanar Soe. Han Theint Theint Aung of Taungoo and Kyaw Kyaw Eaindra of Yangon West were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova and Miss Universe 2025 third runner-up Ahtisa Manalo from the Philippines were among the judges. Mia Zottoli Montanaro was proclaimed the winner of Miss Mondo Italia 2026 (Miss World Italy) last Sunday, June 14 at the Ecoresort Le Sirenè in Gallipoli. The 21-year-old model and former volleyball player of Argentine descent from Taranto, Puglia was crowned by her predecessor Sofia Viola. Basma Zaid of Basilicata and Azzura Sandrini of Lombardia were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. Caterina Noghera of Veneto, Lara Boemio of Toscana, and Ginevra Pagano of Campania rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Slovenije 2022: Vida Milivojša to represent Slovenia at 71st Miss World

Vida Milivojša was crowned Miss Slovenije 2022 (Miss Slovenia) on Sunday, September 4 in the beautiful municipality of Braslovče. The 23-year-old beauty from Ljubljana bested 15 other finalists to win her national title. She is a dancer and student pursuing a degree in marketing communication and public relations. Hana Klaut, 26, and Talita Sofija Komelj, 22, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. To live up to its theme "Podjetništvo na podeželju" (Entrepreneurship in the countryside), this year's national competition was held in a venue rich in cultural and natural heritage and is home to successful domestic companies. Miss Universe Peru 2026 is Luren Márquez

Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Born in Ica, the new Miss Universe Peru is a business administration graduate from the University of Lima. She also obtained her degree in communication from the Florida Internationl University in the USA. No stranger to pageantry, Luren placed first runner-up at the Miss Peru 2024 pageant. She will now prepare to represent her country at Miss Universe 2026 to be held in Puerto Rico later this year. Miss Universe Croatia 2026 is Antea Mršić from Zagreb

Antea Mršić edged out 14 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2026 on Monday, May 25 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 24-year-old sports management graduate from Zagreb will now prepare to represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Monika Vojvodić was named first runner-up while Laura Vujica, Magdalena Fofić and Beata Šimat were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. "I am endlessly grateful for every single person who believed in me," the new Miss Universe Croatia shared online. "I am excited to have the opportunity to represent Croatia on the world stage," she added. This year's pageant marked the 30th anniversary edition of the national competition. Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title. Faith Maria Porter of Ghana and Nguyen Huong Giang of Vietnam were respectively named the first and second runners-up while Mariana Bečková of the Czech Republic and Gazini Ganados of the Philippines completed the Top 5. Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026 during the final of the national pageant on Saturday, May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The 24-year-old Filipino-American beauty succeeded Maria Ahtisa Manalo from Quezon Province. She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant, which is set to take place in Puerto Rico later this year.
