Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 is Lujane Yacoub

Lujane Yacoub was crowned Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 in a national competition held at Mirihi Island Resort in Maldives and streamed live on Saturday, September 2 through the official Miss Universe YouTube channel. The 19-year-old Bahraini-American actress, dancer, and model who grew up in the UAE already joined last year's competition and placed first runner-up. She now succeeds Evlin Khalifa and will represent Bahrain at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador this November. Advaita Shetty won the Kevin Murphy Social Media Challenge and was named first runner-up while Tuhina Carrol was announced as the second runner-up. Aside from winning the coveted national title, the new Miss Universe Bahrain also bagged the Ladycode Ambassador and Miss Great Lengths awards. According to her bio, Lujane wants to use her platform as a titleholder to empower children through arts and expression. Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 Evlin Khalifa walked the runway for celebrity-loved Dubai-based brand Amato Couture by Furne One Amato at Arab Fashion Week . The 24-year-old pianist and model from Riffa, the second largest city in the Kingdom of Bahrain, opened the premiere show of the brand's Couture Fall-Winter 22/23 season on Tuesday, October 11 at Dubai Design District. Amato Couture has been worn by many international celebrities over the years, including Beyonce, Katy Perry, Tyra Banks and Shakira. Prior to strutting the runway, Evlin was in the Philippines for her Miss Universe training. She won her national title last month and has now been preparing to represent Bahrain at the 71st Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA this January. Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 is Evlin Khalifa

Evlin Abdullah-Khalifa has been officially announced as Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 on Sunday, September 11 and she will represent her country at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. The 24-year-old beauty from Riffa holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking and is also a graduate of five schools - music, dancing, modeling, taekwondo, and comprehension. For her, life is a continuous learning process, and it's never too late to study or learn something new. Lujane Yacoub, 18, from Hamala was named first runner-up, while Shereen Ahmed, 27, from Manama, and Mariam Naji, 25, from Riffa tied for the second runner-up. The new Miss Universe Bahrain succeeds last year's titleholder Manar "Jess" Deyani. Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe India, Urvashi Rautela, has been officially announced as one of the judges for the upcoming Miss Universe Bahrain 2022. Officially the Kingdom of Bahrain,  an island country in Western Asia, debuted at the Miss Universe pageant last year with Manar Nadeem Deyani, the first-ever woman to wear a burkini during the swimsuit competition. Headed by Dubai-based entrepreneur and multi-awarded Filipino writer Josh Yugen, the second edition of Miss Universe Bahrain will take place on August 26 and the show will be broadcast on September 11.
