Miss Universe Bahrain 2023: Meet the finalists

From hundreds of aspirants, the Top 7 finalists selected to compete for the title of Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 have been officially revealed on Thursday, July 7.

One of them will succeed the reigning queen Evlin Khalifa and represent Bahrain at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador.

Fan voting is now open on the Choicely app where you can vote for your favorites until August 5. The winner from the public votes will be announced during the grand final show this September.

Who will be the next Miss Universe Bahrain?

Meet the finalists:


Advaita Shetty - 28, has a degree in animal welfare and environmental health and currently pursuing her master's in clinical audiology.

Lujane Yacoub - 19, an actress, a dancer, and a model who plans to pursue her passion and study Creative Arts in London.

Mariam Naji - 26, a school principal, social media influencer, and member of Bahrain’s national fencing team.

Mary Mohamed - 28, a Bahraini-Filipina, certified cognitive behavioral counselor specializing in eating disorder.

Menatalla Husein - 20, loves to play billiards and draw. She wants to use her voice to advocate for orphans and open more discussions about mental health within her community.

Nivine Abouzeid - 24, a marketing and PR professional in one of the region's leading hospitality, transportation, and real estate developers.

Tuhina Carrol - 28, a flight attendant for Bahrain's national airline. She lives by her philosophy "treat people the way you want to be treated."

Alejandra Rodríguez, 60, crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024

Alejandra Rodríguez was crowned Miss Universe Buenos Aires 2024 in a competition held on Sunday, April 21 at Corregidor Hotel in La Plata. The 60-year-old lawyer and journalist bested more than 30 other contestants to win the title. She will now prepare to represent Buenos Aires at Miss Universe Argentina 2024. To recall, the Miss Universe Organization removed the age limit requirement last year so now anyone from the age of 18 can join the pageant and this applies to all its national franchises. The grand final for this year's Miss Universe Argentina will be held on May 25 and the winner will go to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Miss Universe Bahamas 2024 is Selvinique Wright

Miss Andros, Selvinique Wright was crowned Miss Universe Bahamas 2024 on Sunday, May 12 at Atlantis Showroom in Paradise Island. The 31-year-old founder of the "Women's Health.. Us First" foundation will now prepare to represent the Bahamas at the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) in Mexico this November. Her foundation, which focuses on fibroids awareness, aims to promote education, foster research, build a supportive community, and advocate for better health. No stranger to pageantry, Selvinique is a former Miss Grand Bahamas who participated in Miss Grand International 2016 in Las Vegas where she placed in the Top 10 and bagged the Best in Swimsuit award. Irha Mel Alfeche of Matanao, Davao del Sur was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2024 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, May 11 in Talakag, Bukidnon. The 24-year-old special needs education graduate bested 28 other contestants to win the national title. She will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss Earth 2024 later this year. Miss Czech Republic 2024 is Adéla Štroffeková

The Miss Czech Republic 2024 concluded on Saturday, May 11 with Adéla Štroffeková winning the national title from a field of 10 finalists. The 21-year-old model from Prague, who was also named Miss World Czech Republic 2024, received her crown from reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková. Hosted by Ondrej Novotny, this year's event marked the 15th anniversary of the annual Miss Czech Republic pageant. Four other worthy finalists were also crowned as representatives of the country for various international competitions. Mister Supranational Thailand 2024 is Joe Chonlawit Wongsriwor

The Mister and Miss Supranational Thailand 2024 final competition was held on Friday, May 10 at the at Crystal Design Center (CDC) in Bangkok. Joe Chonlawit Wongsriwor, a 27-year-old professional Thai-English event host hailing from Khon Kaen, was declared Mister Supranational Thailand 2024. Thomas Tom Suppakit Oupkham and Spencer Puvarak Poemnam Munday were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Future Pattawee Waimethachoknugun, Third Boonkarit Sappradit, and Mheepooh Puttimet Naulsaard were the Top 6 and were all third runners-up. The new Mister Supranational Thailand succeeds last year's winner who made the Top 10 at Mister Supranational 2023, Topz Nathanon Narathanyawirun. Miss Grand Spain 2024 is Susana Medina of Las Palmas

Susana Medina was crowned Miss Grand Spain 2024 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, May 11 at Theatre Municipal Horacio Noguera, Isla Cristina, Huelva. The 25-year-old representative of Las Palmas bested 34 other contestants to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Celia Sevilla and will now represent Spain at Miss Grand International 2024. Idayra Tena of Tenerife was named first runner-up while Adriana Corpas of Tarragona, Luana Gheban of Albacete, and Esther Escudero of Euskadi were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The Top 10 were María Llamas of Andalusia, Rocio Mengual of Córdoba, Gema Adrover of Mediterranean, Mayka Rodríguez of Seville, and Ainhoa Gallego of Toledo. The Miss Universe Malta 2024 final gala will be held on Thursday, July 11 at the Hilton Malta Conference Centre in St. Julian's. Twenty worthy women from across Malta will be vying for the coveted national title and earn the opportunity to represent the country at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Tangkwa Kasama Suetrong was crowned Miss Supranational Thailand 2024 on Friday, May 10 at Crystal Design Center (CDC) in Bangkok. The 28-year-old model hailing from the province of Surat Thani succeeds last year's winner and Miss Supranational 2023 Top 24, First Patraporn Wang  Rina Carina Mueller and Anna Corvino were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Aom Natthawan Pusakul, Bee Rutchaneekorn Prasertpornsak, and Mookku Thanatchaporn Pankaew rounded out the Top 6 finalists.
