Former Miss Universe Curacao Kanisha Sluis has been officially announced by the Curacao Beauty Pageant Committee as Miss Grand Curacao 2022 on Wednesday, August 17. The 26-year-old speech therapy student will represent Curacao at Miss Grand International 2022 final this October 25 in Indonesia. Kanisha was crowned Miss Universe Curacao 2015 and went on to compete at the 64th Miss Universe pageant at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, where she made it to the Top 10. Seira Inoue was crowned Miss Grand Japan 2022 during the national competition held on Saturday, August 6 at Yokosuka Arts Theater in Kanagawa Prefecture. The 26-year-old Japanese-Filipino beauty bested 24 other finalists to win the national title. She succeeds last year's winner Chika Mizuno and will represent Japan at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Former Miss Polonia, Natalia Gryglewska, has been officially announced by the Miss Polonia organization on Thursday, August 4 as the newly appointed Miss Grand Poland 2022. The 24-year-old beauty is a model, clinical dietitian and personal trainer from Lublin. She was crowned Miss Polonia 2020/21. Miss Alto Cafezal, Isabella Menin, was crowned Miss Grand Brasil 2022 (Miss Grand Brazil 2022) on Thursday, July 28 at Teatro da Caesb in Águas Claras, Brasília. The 26-year-old succeeds last year's winner and Miss Grand International second runner-up Lorena Rodrigues and will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October.  Grabriela Borges of Paraná and Vitória Brodt of Rio Grande do Sul were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while the representatives of Norte-Matogrossense, Bárbara Reis, and Mato Grosso, Maythe Varzoni completed the Top 5. Vietnam has been announced to host the Miss Grand International 2023 competition. It will be the second time the country will host the pageant after 2017. The deal was sealed in an official press conference and contract signing between the Miss Grand International Organization and Senvang Entertainment at Saigon South Marina Club. Marit Beets was crowned Miss Grand Netherlands 2022 in a national competition held at Leonardo Royal Hotel in Amsterdam last April 24. The 22-year-old human resource management student who hails from the fishing town of Volendam succeeds Nathalie Yasmin. "The news has now landed a bit, every morning when I enter the living room I see the beautiful crown then a kind of shiver always goes through my body, because it is really true," she shared on social media. Miss Grand International 2021 Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien has finally returned to her home country Vietnam a month after winning her international beauty title in Bangkok, Thailand. The Vietnamese beauty queen was warmly welcomed by her fellow countrymen during today's homecoming parade and ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City. She is expected to stay a few weeks in her country before flying back to Thailand where she is based during her reign. After some deliberation and close interview with some contestants, Miss Grand Indonesia national director Ivan Gunawan appointed Andina Julie as Miss Grand Indonesia 2022. The 21-year-old model and singer from South Sumatra will represent her country at the Miss Grand International 2022 competition later this year. Miss Grand Vietnam, Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien, bested over 50 other contestants to be crowned Miss Grand International 2021 on Saturday, December 4 at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 23-year-old hospitality management student succeeds Abena of the United States of America. She's the first-ever Vietnamese woman to win the Miss Grand International beauty title. Ecuador's Andrea Victoria Aguilera finished first runner-up while Brazil's Lorena Goncalves Rodrigues was named the second runner-up. Indonesia has been officially announced as the host country of the 10th year anniversary of Miss Grand International. The announcement was made during the Miss Grand International 2021 final competition held at the SHOW DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on December 4. Miss Grand Indonesia National Director Ivan Gunawan was welcomed onto the stage during the show so MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil can officially entrust the right to host next year's grand edition. Miss Grand International 2021 welcome ceremony and press conference was held on Thursday, November 18 at the Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort in Phuket, Thailand. Fifty-eight contestants wearing their stunning evening gowns and respective crowns arrived at the venue in a sports car. They raised a toast with the reigning queen Abena Appiah and MGI executives during the glittering event.
