Malaysia's Manvin Khera wins The Miss Globe 2023

Manvin Khera of Malaysia beat 50 other competitors to be crowned The Miss Globe 2023 on Friday, November 17 at the Sports Palace in Durrës, Albania. The 22-year-old model and aspiring lawyer from Kuala Lumpur succeeds last year's winner from the Dominican Republic, Anabel Payano. Besides winning the coveted crown, Manvin was also awarded Miss Talent. She made history as the first-ever Malaysian representative to bag the international title. Katia Agbodo Rodriguez of Spain was named first runner-up while the beauties from the Philippines, Anna Valencia Lakrini, Nigeria, Duru Esther Chidera, and the USA, Kirstin Yvonne Bangs were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss International Malaysia 2023 is Cassandra Yap

Cassandra Yap bested 16 other finalists to win Miss International Malaysia 2023 on Sunday, October 1 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu. The 26-year-old fashion designer and model from Johor succeeds last year's titleholder Giselle Tay and will now prepare to represent Malaysia at Miss International 2023 in Tokyo, Japan on October 26. Kimberly Vung, Christina Lee and Aaliyah Wunsch were announced as the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively, while Hanah Musa, Lilyannie Christie, and Rindsay Rachelle rounded out the Top 8. Ashlyn Ooi, a 26-year-old model from Kuala Lumpur, was crowned Miss International Malaysia 2024 and will go on to compete in Miss International 2024 whose date and venue are yet to be announced. Miss Earth Malaysia 2023 is Nadira Isaac

Nadira Isaac was crowned Maharani Earth Malaysia 2023 during the Maharani Malaysia 2023 (Empress of Malaysia) grand final held on Sunday, August 27 at the Swiss Garden Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The 22-year-old entrepreneur edged out 14 other finalists to win the national title and will now prepare to represent Malaysia at Miss Earth 2023 in Vietnam this December. Jessica Gomez was named Maharani Eco International Malaysia 2024 (Miss Eco Malaysia 2024) while Carol Lye clinched the title Maharani Asia Pacific Malaysia 2024 (Miss Asia Pacific Malaysia 2024). They are expected to participate in Miss Eco International 2024 and Miss Asia Pacific 2024 pageants, respectively. Miss Universe Malaysia 2023 is Serena Lee

Serena Lee, a 24-year-old law student, was officially proclaimed Miss Universe Malaysia 2023 and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November.  An official announcement was posted on Sunday, August 27 via the Instagram account of Miss Universe Malaysia with a photo of the new queen wearing her crown and sash. It also contained the message: "Your success is a powerful testament to your courage, strength, and female empowerment. You inspire us all to reach for the stars and embrace our true potential. Miss World Malaysia 2023 is Saroop Roshi

Saroop Roshi was crowned Miss World Malaysia 2023 in a national competition held on Friday, August 25 at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The 24-year-old psychologist, model, and travel enthusiast hailing from Perak bested 13 other competitors to win the coveted national title. She succeeds last year's winner, Wenanita Angang, who will be heading to Mumbai, India this November to represent Malaysia at Miss World 2023 whose final is set to be held on December 9. Natalie Ang Ai Dee and Chai Shu Wen were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Vaishnavi Siva Kumar, Adlyn Jayne Andrew, and Ellesha Meschille were the rest of the Top 6 finalists. Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska touched down on Wednesday, August 23 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for a 4-day visit to attend the upcoming Miss World Malaysia 2023 grand final. Accompanied by the Miss World Organization Chairman and CEO Julia Morley, the beauty queen was warmly welcomed by the national director of Miss World Malaysia Sean Wong, and his wife Adelyne Fung. Reigning Miss World Malaysia Wenanita Angang, who will soon compete at Miss World 2023 in India, and this year's national finalists were also present at Kota Kinabalu International Airport before heading to the Sutera Harbour Resort. The next Miss World Malaysia will be crowned this Friday, August 25 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) and is expected to represent Malaysia at the Miss World 2024 pageant. Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selbrg touched down at Kota Kinabalu International Airport on Friday, August 18 for her first official visit to Malaysia. The beauty queen was a special guest of the Miss International Malaysia Organization for the launch of this year's pageant in a press conference held on Saturday at Sabah International Convention Centre. Together with Miss International Malaysia 2022 Giselle Tay, Jasmin also had a chance to visit the inaugural Adex Ocean Partnership Summit at SICC while wearing a traditional kebaya. Organized in partnership with Sabah Tourism Board (STB), the summit featured global experts and trailblazers discussing and exploring diving disciplines, ocean conservation, and sustainability issues. Kash Bhullar was crowned Miss Grand Malaysia 2023 on Saturday, August 12 in a national competition held aboard the luxurious Genting Dream cruise ship. The 21-year-old model and actress from Selangor will now prepare to represent Malaysia at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. She succeeds last year's winner Charissa Chong. Natalie Ang Ai Dee and Poorani Rajoo were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Chai Shu Wen, Sisnitha Thirumaran, and Angela Quah rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Mister Malaysia Benedict Yu was proclaimed Mister National Universe 2023 on Tuesday, June 27 at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The 27-year-old doctor from Kota Kinabalu bested over 20 other competitors to win the 5th edition of the international male pageant. Benedict succeeds last year's winner from Vietnam, Ngo Hoang Phi Viet. Aside from his title, he was also awarded Mister Popular and Mister Flawless Skin. "I have gained so much friendships from different countries, getting to experience Thailand cultures and this pageant is the definition of where pageantry meets luxury," he shared online after winning the competition. Newly formed Miss Universe Malaysia was launched in a press conference held on Friday, February 17 at the Astor Ballroom of the St. Regis Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event officially introduced Indonesian singer Poppy Capella of Just Capella as the new license holder. She is also the owner of Jakarta-based PT Capella Swastika Karya which recently acquired Miss Universe Indonesia. Also announced joining her team is appointed CEO Dato' Westin Chew, a Malaysian businessman and hands-on chief executive officer who has over a decade of experience in various fields. 71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel heads to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

After four hectic but wonderful days in Bangkok, Thailand, the 71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday, February 16. Alongside her Miss Universe 2022 sisters from the Dominican Republic, Andreína Martínez Founier, and Curacao, Gabriëla Dos Santos, she will be attending the official launching of Miss Universe Malaysia which was acquired by a new organization. The beauty queens were greeted with bouquets of flowers by excited fans and members of the press during their arrival at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
