The Top 10 results for the Miss Grand International 2022 Best in Swimsuit have been officially announced on Tuesday, October 18. Five contestants (Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Brazil) were voted by fans on social media while the other five (Colombia, Czech Republic, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, and Spain) were chosen by the judges. Almost 70 contestants from around the world have already arrived in Bali, Indonesia for the 10th Miss Grand International pageant. Following their arrival and registrations at the Seminyak Beach Resort and Spa, several activities have taken place during the first week of the competition. The contestants wowed in their glam looks during the sashing ceremony, special dinner for the Top 10 pre-arrival, sponsor visits and photoshoots, and the welcoming ceremony and gala dinner. The official sashing ceremony for the contestants of the Miss Grand International 2022 pageant took place on Wednesday, October 5 at The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa in Bali, Indonesia. The Miss Grand International 2022 pageant kicked off on Wednesday, October 5 with the contestants' official sashing ceremony at The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa in Bali, Indonesia. Hosted by a former winner from 2014, Lees Garcia of Cuba, the show streamed live on the official Facebook page of Miss Grand International. MGI Vice President Teresa Chaivisut opened the ceremony and revealed that the final Top 10 will have their own crowns and stay for one more week in Indonesia after the coronation on October 25 in Jakarta. Before the official sashing commenced, reigning Miss Grand International Nguyen Thuy Thuc Tien gave a short speech and shared with the contestants some helpful advice as they are competing for the golden crown. With the beautiful Bali beach as the backdrop to the ceremony, a total of 66 contestants from around the world received their official sashes from the Vietnamese queen. The 10th Miss Grand International competition is about to start in Bali, Indonesia as the contestants from around the world depart for the host country. Seventy-two beauties are expected to arrive on October 3 and 4. Three new countries consisting of DR Congo, Kyrgyzstan, and Mozambique will debut this year. The contestants will be officially welcomed during the traditional sashing ceremony on October 5 and the Top 10 with the highest social media votes will have a special dinner with MGI President Nawat Itsaragrisil. In the next three weeks, the contestants will go through pre-pageant activities, photoshoots, rehearsals, and preliminary competitions leading to the final show on October 25 in Jakarta, where Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien of Vietnam will relinquish her reign. Doan Thien An was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 (Hoa hậu Hòa bình Việt Nam) in a spectacular final show held on Saturday, October 1 at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. The 22-year-old student from Long An province bested 49 other contestants to win the national title. She will now represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International 2022 in Bali and Jakarta, Indonesia this October. Che Nguyen Quynh Chau was named first runner-up while Tran Tuyet Nhu, Tran Nguyen Minh Thu, and Ngo Thi Quynh Mai were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
