Karina Fariza Basrewan has been officially announced by Mahakarya Duta Pesona Indonesia as Miss Earth Indonesia 2022 on Friday, September 30. The 26-year-old SEA Today news anchor, community manager and brand ambassador will represent her country at Miss Earth 2022 in the Philippines this November. "I’m so immensely grateful for all the love and support; it’s still such a surreal feeling to be getting back at it but with your positive encouragement and unconditional solace, ain’t no mountain high, no river wide enough that we can’t overcome," she wrote in a statement on social media. Miss Aura International 2022 is Riskyana Hidayat of Indonesia

Indonesia's Riskyana Hidayat beat over 30 other contestants to be crowned Miss Aura International 2022 on Saturday, September 24 in Antalya, Turkey. The 25-year-old model and entrepreneur succeeded last year's winner from the Philippines, Alexandra Faith Garcia. She is the first Indonesian representative to win the international title. Nanette Indriago of Venezuela was named first runner-up while Yulia Dashkovskaya of Ukraine, Miruna Doldor of Romania, and Carina Proscurnea of Bulgaria were announced the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Aura International is no stranger to pageantry as she was the winner of Indonesian Top Model Makassar 2015, Indonesian Stars Search 2021, and Puteri Indonesia Sulawesi Selatan 2022 second runner-up. Miss Sulawesi Utara, Audrey Vanessa Susilo was crowned Miss Indonesia 2022 on Thursday, September 15 at Studio RCTI+ in Jakarta. The 22-year-old Monash University student representing the North Sulawesi province bested 36 other contestants to win her national title. She was also announced as the winner of the Talent and Social Media fast track. Completing the Top 5 finalists were first runner-up Ida Ayu Laksmi of Bali, second runner-up Alyssandra Winyoto of Jawa Timur, third runner-up Angelina Aqila of Kalimantan Barat, and fourth runner-up Naomy Angelica Sembiring of Riau. At the end of the show, last year's winner and Miss World Asia Pricilia Carla Yules passed her crown on to her successor who will now prepare to represent her country at the 71st Miss World pageant. Following her 2-day trip to Singapore, reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska touched down in Jakarta, Indonesia on Monday, September 12. The Polish beauty will be a special guest this time during the Miss Indonesia 2022 final this Thursday. She will also be reunited with her Miss World sister Pricilia Carla Yules, the outgoing Miss Indonesia. "I feel almost like home. So excited to come back to this beautiful country and explore it all over again with new great friends from the Miss World Indonesia team," Karolina shared on social media. Miss Indonesia 2022: 37 finalists compete for the title on September 15

A total of 37 finalists representing the provinces of Indonesia will compete for Miss Indonesia 2022 next Thursday, September 15 in Jakarta. Due to the expansion of Papua Province, three new provinces are being represented this year - the Papua Selatan (South Papua), Papua Tengah (Central Papua), and Papua Pegunungan (Highland Papua). An official press conference took place on Friday, September 9 at MNC Studios to formally introduce the finalists to the media. This year's pageant will be the 17th edition of Miss Indonesia. No competition was held in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pricilia Carla Yules, who won the title in 2020, placed in the Top 6 and bagged the Miss World Asia title at the 70th Miss World final last March in Puerto Rico. The 26-year-old marketing manager bested 43 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds Puteri Indonesia 2020 Ayu Maulida Putri and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Cindy May McGuire of Jakarta was named Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2022 while Adinda Cresheilla of East Java clinched the title Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2022. They will be sent to Miss International and Miss Supranational pageants, respectively. Indonesia's Nadia Tjoa wins Miss Face of Humanity 2022

Nadia Tjoa of Indonesia was crowned Miss Face of Humanity 2022 in a glittering competition held on Saturday, April 2 at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in Toronto, Canada. The 27-year-old old architecture graduate, model, and entrepreneur bested 16 other contestants to win the international pageant. As its global ambassador, she will advocate youth and women empowerment around the world. Rwanda's Rita Ngarambe, USA's Kerri Jade Shapiro, and Hong Kong's Juliette Louie were the first, second, and third runners-up, respectively. Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Afghanistan, Comores, and Mexico completed the Top 10. The winner was crowned by former Miss Universe Thailand and Miss Universe Top 5 finalist Paweensuda Drouin. After some deliberation and close interview with some contestants, Miss Grand Indonesia national director Ivan Gunawan appointed Andina Julie as Miss Grand Indonesia 2022. The 21-year-old model and singer from South Sumatra will represent her country at the Miss Grand International 2022 competition later this year. Andina succeeds Miss Grand Indonesia 2021 and Miss Grand International Top 10 finalist Sophia Rogan. Her official crowning ceremony will take place this February with the new crown.
