Miss France 2023 is Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe

Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe was crowned Miss France 2023 on Saturday, December 17 at M.A.CH 36 in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire. The 18-year-old beauty from Basse-Terre beat 29 other contestants representing various French regions and departments to become the fourth woman from Guadeloupe to win the national title. She received the new crown from her predecessor Diane Leyre of Île-de-France. Agathe Cauet of  Nord-Pas-de-Calais was named first runner-up while Marion Navarro of Franche-Comté, Axelle René of Martinique, and Alissia Ladevèze of Auvergne were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Prior to winning Miss France, the new queen won the title of Miss Basse-Terre and Miss Guadeloupe 2022. During the national competition, she received the maximum score from both the jury and the French public. Indira was awarded a number of prizes, including a multitude of gifts from sponsors, a year-long residence in a luxury Paris apartment, and an undisclosed monthly salary

Miss World Kenya 2022 is Chantou Kwamboka

Chantou Kwamboka was crowned Miss World Kenya 2022 in a glittering gala held on Saturday, December 10 at the Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi. The 24-year-old model, catwalk coach and actor succeeded last year's titleholder Sharon Obara and will now prepare to represent Kenya at the 71st Miss World pageant. "Last night was one for the books. I still haven't soaked it in all yet. I'm happy, blessed, grateful, and highly favored. I smile, cry, and laugh all at the same time. This is truly a dream come true. I am completely grateful for how this journey has unfolded," she shared on social media. Digital creator Wanjiku Kariuki and mental health advocate Wabaiya Kariuki were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Kenya has yet to win the Miss World crown. Miss World Bulgaria 2022 is Kristiyana Yordanova

Kristiyana Yordanova was crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022 in a competition held last Wednesday, December 7 at the Princess Casino Sofia Ramada Hotel & Spa in Sofia. The 24-year-old author and psychology and neuroscience student at the University of British Columbia will represent Bulgaria at the 71st Miss World pageant. Prior to winning her national title, she participated in the Miss World Canada 2022 pageant on November 13 and placed in the Top 15. In a post on social media, she shared how honored she feels to receive the crown and be able to represent her home country. "I was deeply affected as a child when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. I missed my roots deeply, and so being able to connect with my culture yet again so seamlessly was so beautiful and genuine," she wrote. As a mental health advocate, Kristiyana founded "Woman Squared" to use her platform for an open conversation and change the narrative about women in society. She said,

Shanique Singh was crowned Miss Jamaica World 2022 from a field of 13 competitors on Sunday, December 4 at the Courtleigh Auditorium in Kingston. The 25-year-old medical student at the University of the West Indies also won the Beach Beauty, Talent, and Beauty With A Purpose fast track events. She has now succeeded last year's titleholder Khalia Hall and will now prepare to represent Jamaica at the 71st Miss World pageant. Lineisha Davis and Tahje Bennett were respectively announced as the first and second runners-up while Asheka Robinson and Toni-Ann Martin rounded out the Top 5 finalists. The new Miss Jamaica World will now embark on a wonderful journey of a lifetime raising her flag on the global stage and following the incredible footsteps of her predecessors. Her Beauty With A Purpose project is focused on the holistic approach to the reproductive and sexual health of females. Miss France 2023 kicks off pageant activities in Guadeloupe

The pre-pageant activities for the 30 contestants vying for the highly coveted Miss France 2023 have officially begun.  They arrived in Guadeloupe on Monday, November 21 for their traditional preparation trip that involves photoshoots, press meetings, catwalk exercises, and etiquette courses, among others. Joining them were Miss France organization's President and CEO Alexia Laroche-Joubert, former national director Sylvie Tellier, new national director Cindy Fabre and reigning queen Diane Leyre. As part of the Miss France pageant tradition, the contestants representing various French regions and departments also have to take the 'culture générale' (general culture) test. Thirty-two beauties have been selected as official finalists for Miss Belgium 2023. The winner will have the opportunity to represent Belgium at the Miss Universe and/or Miss World pageants. Tomiris Kakimova was named Miss Qazaqstan 2022 (Miss Kazakhstan) in a glittering national competition held on Friday, November 18 at the Palace of the Republic in Almaty. She is expected to represent Kazakhstan at the 71st Miss World pageant. The 24-year-old beauty from Astana holds a degree in international law from the Eurasian National University and a master's in law from the Kokshetau University. She has also worked as a model participating in various projects of famous designers and photographers, as well as Fashion Week events. The Miss Qazaqstan 2022 (Miss Kazakhstan) final show will be held this Friday, November 18 at the Palace of the Republic in Almaty. A total of 23 contestants from across the country are vying for the national title and the winners are expected to represent Kazakhstan at the prestigious international pageants — Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. Founded in 1997, this year's competition which is themed "Reincarnation New Era" will be the 26th edition of the national pageant. The celebrity member of the jury includes Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda, Miss Qazaqstan President Aidai Isayeva, journalist and personal brand expert Dinar Satzhan, and producer Zhan Mukanov. Florinda José was crowned Miss Angola Mundo 2022 (Miss World Angola) in a national competition held on Friday, November 11 in Luanda. The 21-year-old education science student from Benguela succeeds last year's titleholder Ruth Carlos and will now prepare to represent Angola at the 71st Miss World pageant. Pâmela Esteves and Jurema Chipato were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Angola has yet to win the Miss World pageant. Emma Morrison was crowned Miss World Canada 2022 from a field of 50 competitors during the national pageant on Sunday, November 13 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts in Ontario. The 22-year-old proud Muskegowuk Cree woman and indigenous crafts artist from Chapleau made history by becoming the first-ever Cree First Nations titleholder.
