The Miss World Organization has announced the Digital Media Challenge where the Top 40 contestants were asked to promote their journey at the Miss World pageant through their individual websites at missworld.com . Web promotion should include their friendships and experiences at Miss World, their hopes after reaching the Top 40, messages of support or congratulations they have received from home, and the Beauty With A Purpose presentation including a full description of the progress made on their project, however, the contestants were also encouraged to come up with their own original ideas and designs to create the best website to share with the world. According to the organization, they're looking for the contestants' ability to tell their stories and engage with their fans. Concord resident, Morgan Romano, has been crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2022 in a state competition held at High Point Theater on Saturday, January 29. The 23-year-old beauty holds a degree in chemical engineering and currently working as an application engineer at R.E. Mason in Charlotte. According to her bio, she has a passion for STEM education for children and spends her free time volunteering with Project Scientist, an after-school program that provides a high-quality STEM curriculum to young girls. During her year, Morgan plans on expanding her initiative “Outside the Box”, which provides science kits to classrooms, children’s hospitals, libraries, and to students in need. Mike van Wijk has been named the new Mister Global Netherlands and will represent his country at the 7th Mister Global pageant in Thailand next month. The 22-year-old entrepreneur from Sint-Michielsgestel currently works in construction and plans to open his own personal trainer studio in the future. He was a runner-up in Misters of the Netherlands 2021 and was originally supposed to join 21th edition of Manhunt International. Mister Global pageant will be hosting its 7th edition on March 15 in Mahasarakham, Thailand. Miss Earth 2021 Destiny Wagner has been named as Sustainable Tourism Ambassador by the Belize Tourism Board (BTB), the governing body of Belize’s Tourism Industry that focuses on progressive and sustainable developments. The beauty queen will work alongside BTB in promoting the ecotourism of her country and protecting its natural resources. "Thank you Ministry of Tourism for making this possible and I look forward to working closely with you throughout the year to highlight and amplify the voices of nonprofits who continuously fight for a better Belize and a better planet," Destiny shared on her social media page. The longest-running national beauty competition teased its fans with today's special announcement that Binibining Pilipinas 2022 will be happening soon. "This is it, Binibini fans! Get ready for the country's most prestigious pageant this year," written on its official social media page. While the pageant activities were revealed to kick off in May, there is no confirmation on the official date for the final coronation night yet but according to reports it is set around July. 2021 was a very successful year for Binibining Pilipinas after winning two international beauty titles with Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita and Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne. The reigning Binibining Pilipinas International Hannah Arnold of Masbate has yet to compete in the 60th Miss International pageant, possibly to be held later this year after being postponed twice. Binibining Pilipinas was formed in the year 1964 and became the longest-running pageant in the Philippines.

Miss Earth Carolina, Paulina Avilés, was crowned Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2022 in a national competition held on Sunday, January 30 at the Centro de Bellas Artes de San Sebastián. The 20-year-old architecture student at the University of Puerto Rico - Río Piedras bested 20 other contestants to win her beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner, Cristina Mariel, and will now prepare to represent Puerto Rico at the Miss Earth 2022 pageant later this year. Anja Radic bested 19 other beauties to be crowned Miss Srbije 2021 in a national competition held last Thursday, January 27 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The 20-year-old project and innovation management student from Belgrade will represent Serbia at the 71st Miss World pageant. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Andrijana Savic.
