Česká Miss Essens 2022 is Vanesa Švédová

Vanesa Švédová was crowned Česká Miss Essens 2022 (Miss Universe Czech Republic 2023) in a glittering final on Sunday, December 11 at the O2 Universum in Prague. The 19-year-old model from Přerov is now expected to represent the Czech Republic at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) pageant. "Oh my goodness, I still can’t believe y’all really chose me. Thank you all for the votes, for the SMS, to the jury, the audience, the girls, the production for the great care and organization, to everyone who helped me in any way to achieve this," she shared online after winning her title. Rounding out the Top 3 winners were Miss Global Czech Republic 2023 Marie Danči, 25, from Krnov, and Miss Earth Czech Republic 2023 Kristýna Pavlovičová, 20, from Strakonice. They will respectively compete in the Miss Global 2023 and Miss Earth 2023 editions in Vietnam. Miss World Kenya 2022 is Chantou Kwamboka

Chantou Kwamboka was crowned Miss World Kenya 2022 in a glittering gala held on Saturday, December 10 at the Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi. The 24-year-old model, catwalk coach and actor succeeded last year's titleholder Sharon Obara and will now prepare to represent Kenya at the 71st Miss World pageant. "Last night was one for the books. I still haven't soaked it in all yet. I'm happy, blessed, grateful, and highly favored. I smile, cry, and laugh all at the same time. This is truly a dream come true. I am completely grateful for how this journey has unfolded," she shared on social media. Digital creator Wanjiku Kariuki and mental health advocate Wabaiya Kariuki were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Kenya has yet to win the Miss World crown. Miss World Bulgaria 2022 is Kristiyana Yordanova

Kristiyana Yordanova was crowned Miss World Bulgaria 2022 in a competition held last Wednesday, December 7 at the Princess Casino Sofia Ramada Hotel & Spa in Sofia. The 24-year-old author and psychology and neuroscience student at the University of British Columbia will represent Bulgaria at the 71st Miss World pageant. Prior to winning her national title, she participated in the Miss World Canada 2022 pageant on November 13 and placed in the Top 15. In a post on social media, she shared how honored she feels to receive the crown and be able to represent her home country. "I was deeply affected as a child when I had to move away from everything I had ever known. I missed my roots deeply, and so being able to connect with my culture yet again so seamlessly was so beautiful and genuine," she wrote. As a mental health advocate, Kristiyana founded "Woman Squared" to use her platform for an open conversation and change the narrative about women in society. She said,

Japan's Erina Hanawa wins Miss Tourism World 2022

Erina Hanawa, a 29-year-old Japanese-Filipino beauty representing Japan, was crowned Miss Tourism World 2022 on Saturday, December 10 in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam. The runners-up were Justine Felizarta of the Philippines (first), Le Thi Huong of Vietnam (second), Iana Sharikova of Russia (third), and Adeduro Adetola of Nigeria (fourth). Rounding out the Top 12 semi-finalists were from China, Hanyu Zhang; Ghana, Emmanuella Apuri; Indonesia, Ade Yunita; Italy, Maria Carmen Crescenzi; Singapore, Delvina Katerina Luther; Thailand, Pakinee Duangpattra; and Turkey, Duygu Cerit. The continental titles were awarded to Colombia's Hazel Zuñiga Pinedo (Miss Tourism America), Thailand's Pakinee Duangpattra (Miss Tourism Asia), Ghana's Emmanuella Apuri (Miss Tourism Africa), and Turkey's Duygu Cerit (Miss Tourism Europe). Ruby Pouchet was crowned Miss Bonaire 2022 in a glittering final held last Saturday, December 3 at the Courtyard by Marriott Bonaire Dive Resort in Kralendijk. The 26-year-old beauty who represented her neighborhood of Playa Pariba is a university graduate in sales and marketing. She is multilingual and aims to educate and break boundaries on the island of Bonaire. Caroline Porras of Antriol and Michell Emerenciana of Nikiboko were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively. Bonaire, an island off of Venezuela’s coast in the southern Caribbean, debuted at Miss Universe in 1967 and its last participation was in 1999. The international pageant no longer allows the island to compete since being proclaimed as a municipality of the Netherlands. At Miss World, Bonaire participated only three times — during its debut in 1996, return in 2011, and last participation in the 2012 edition. Miss International 2022 contestants experience Japanese tea ceremony

As part of Miss International tradition, this year's contestants were given the opportunity to experience the Japanese tea ceremony, a cultural activity involving the ceremonial preparation and presentation of tea. Selected contestants for this traditional activity were taken to the Enshu Sado School in Tokyo, a school of tea in Japan that was founded over 400 years ago during the early Edo period. Their Miss International 2022 journey will not be complete without the tea ceremony experience with no other than the grand tea master himself, Soujitsu Kobori. A total of 27 Miss International 2022 contestants were chosen to take part in the 6th International Women's Entrepreneurs Forum held on Tuesday, December 6 at the NBC headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The selected contestants were from Australia, Belarus, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Haiti, Hawaii, Hong Kong, Honduras, Kenya, Laos, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Marianas, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, USA, and Venezuela. Al Sivka wins Mister Slovenije 2022, goes to Mister Global

Al Sivka was proclaimed the winner of Mister Slovenije (Mister Slovenia) 2022 during the national final on Sunday, December 4 at the Šentjakob Theater in Ljubljana. The 19-year-old model from Izola beat 11 other finalists to win the national title. He succeeds last year's winner Sebastian Čufer and will now prepare to represent Slovenia at the 8th Mister Global pageant in Thailand. "I still cannot describe the feelings I had when receiving the title of Mister Slovenia 2022. I would like to thank everyone that motivated and supported me on the way to this achievement," he wrote on social media. Miss South Africa's national costume for 71st Miss Universe revealed

The national costume of Miss South Africa 2022 Ndavi Nokeri for the upcoming 71st Miss Universe pageant has been officially revealed. Hosted by former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, the official reveal took place on Tuesday, December 6 at The Maslow Hotel in Gauteng. The special event which also happened to be Ndavi's official farewell also gave the fans a glimpse of what to expect for her Juan William Aria preliminary and final evening gowns for the international competition this January in New Orleans.
