Alicia Faubel, representing Comunidad Valenciana, was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2022 on Saturday, September 10 at the Los Olivos Beach Resort in Tenerife. The 25-year-old model bested 13 other beauties to win her national title and she will now prepare to represent Spain at the 71st Miss Universe pageant. Completing the Top 6 finalists were first runner-up Laura Etayo Sarasa (Navarra), second runner-up María Alexandra Cucu (Andalucia), third runner-up Susana Lucía Medina Martín (Canarias), fourth runner-up Paula Ortega Madarieta (Cataluña), and fifth runner-up Noemí Sartal Loira (Galicia). Last year's winner, Sarah Loinaz from Guipúzcoa relinquished her reign at the end of the event. Spain has won Miss Universe once with Amparo Muñoz in 1974. She gave up her crown six months after winning the pageant and became a popular actress. Juan Pablo Colías is Spain's representative for the upcoming 14th Mister International pageant in the Philippines. The 25-year-old model and aspiring firefighter from La Mudarra, Valladolid represented his province during Mister RNB España 2021 and bagged the title Mister RNB España Internacional 2022. The Mister Supranational 2022 Top Model competition took place on Friday, July 8 at Hotel Beskid, in the city of Nowy Sacz, Poland. Over 30 supra men hit the Top Model runway wearing fashion outfits they had to prepare themselves. Murcia representative, Daniel Lorente, was named Mister International Spain 2022 on Friday, June 17 in Pineda de Mar, Barcelona. The 20-year-old model and engineering student in Cartagena edged out 48 other contestants from across the country to win the national competition. Iván Cardell of Illes Balears and Borja Atanes of Ourense were the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representatives of Barcelona, Málaga, and Córdoba completed the Top 6 finalists. "I never imagined that something like this could happen to me. It has been a unique, incredible and unbeatable experience in all aspects, I have friends for life," the new Mister International Spain shared on social media. Miss RNB Cuenca, Ana Karla Ramírez, was crowned Miss Supranational Spain 2022 during the Miss RNB España 2022 pageant held on Saturday, May 28 in Torrox, Málaga. The 25-year-old TV internship student and dancer bested over 50 other beauties to win the national competition. She will join Mister Supranational Spain Manuel Ndele, who won his title last year, in representing their country at the Miss and Mister Supranational 2022 pageants in Poland this July. The 20-year-old Cuban-Spanish beauty bested over 30 other contestants to win her title. She succeeds Alba Dunkerbeck and will now prepare to represent Spain at the 10th Miss Grand International (Miss Grand International 2022) competition in Indonesia this October. Oihana Torres of Euskadi was named first runner-up while Anakristina Rivero of Zaragoza finished second runner-up. Spain's representative Miguel Ángel Lucas was named Mister Global 2021 at Taksila Hotel in Mahasarakham, Thailand on Tuesday, March 15. The 21-year-old model who hails from Toledo bested over 30 other contestants from around the world to win his title. He succeeds Mister Global 2019, Jung Woo Kim of Korea. Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam finished first runner-up while Dongwoo Shin of South Korea was the second runner-up. Venezuela's Juan Carlos da Silva and Mexico's Gabriel Ortiz were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Sarah Loinaz bested 12 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Spain 2021 in a glittering national competition held on Saturday, October 16 in Tenerife. Alba Dunkerbeck was crowned Miss Grand Spain 2021 in a national competition held last Sunday, May 16 at Bahia Feliz, Gran Canaria. The 19-year-old student of international business and global marketing from Costa Canaria bested 26 other beauties to win her national title. In a post on social media, she expressed her commitment to work for bringing the first golden crown to her country. "It is a great pride but also a great challenge, and like all challenges I am going to achieve them," she said.
