71st Miss Universe arrives in Bali for launching of Miss Universe Indonesia

Fresh from her memorable trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the 71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel of the USA arrived on Sunday, February 19 at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Indonesia. She will be attending the upcoming grand launching of Miss Universe Indonesia under PT Capella Swastika Karya this week together with her second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier of the Dominican Republic and Top 5 finalist Gabriëla Dos Santos of Curacao. They will be staying at the beautiful TS Suites Seminyak, an urban lifestyle hotel in Bali, for the duration of their visit to the country. After that, the queens are expected to continue their tour to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for the grand reveal of the new Miss Universe Vietnam organizers on Friday, February 24. Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel, second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier and Top 5 finalist Gabriëla Dos Santos spent the Valentine's Day meeting with Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok. The beauty queens looked stunning in their traditional Thai outfits during their visit to the Government House where they were accompanied by the owner of the Miss Universe Organization Anne Jakratutatip and executives of JKN Global Group. Following her trip to Lombok, Indonesia for a commercial shoot, the 71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel continued her official Asian tour to Thailand. The Filipina-American beauty arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok on Saturday, February 11 following the arrival of her queen sisters — second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier from the Dominican Republic and Top 5 finalist Gabriëla Dos Santos of Curaçao. Venezuela's Amanda Dudamel who placed first runner-up announced she will not be able to join them as she has already started working on some personal projects in her country but she hopes to reunite with them soon. Details of their itineraries have yet to be revealed but to start off R'Bonney gave a little glimpse of her suite at Hotel Muse Bangkok overlooking the beautiful city. R'Bonney Gabriel touched down in Lombok, Indonesia to shoot a commercial for YOU•C1000 Vitamin earlier this week. The reigning Miss Universe stunned in a Lombok's traditional clothing while shooting for the Indonesian vitamin C health beverage. Lombok is an island known for beaches and surfing spots in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. This was R'Bonney's first official visit to Indonesia and first travel abroad since she bagged the 71st Miss Universe crown last month in New Orleans. "This is actually my fourth time in Indonesia and I love visiting every time," she shared and added that she previously visited Ubud, Canggu, Mount Rinjani, and Bukittinggi. Miss Sportsman's Paradise USA Sylvia Masters was crowned Miss Louisiana USA 2023 on Saturday, February 4 at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie, Louisiana. The 27-year-old news anchor and accomplished musician from Houma succeeded KT Scannell and will represent Louisiana at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada this fall. Rounding out the Top 5 were first runner-up Josie Stephens of Acadiana, second runner-up Lexie Martin of Baton Rouge, third runner-up Trinitee Johnson of Southeast, and fourth runner-up Ella Clark of Crescent City. No stranger to pageantry, the new Miss Louisiana USA already joined the state competition several times before winning the state title. She was named third runner-up in 2021 and second runner-up in 2022. Sylvia is a graduate of Nicholls State University with a degree in mass communication and journalism. The 26-year-old professional model and business owner represented Dallas during last year's Miss Texas USA pageant and placed second runner-up. No stranger to pageantry, the Austin-born beauty has already been joining competitions for years and bagged several runner-up finishes. She lives in Dallas where she founded Kissed Studio , an upscale tanning boutique providing services for nails, custom airbrush tans, hair, and makeup. In addition to running her own business in Uptown Dallas, she also works as a model under the Dallas-based modeling and talent agency The Campell Agency . Miss Auburn-Opelika Sophie Burzynski was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2023 in a state pageant held on Saturday, January 28 at Gogue Performing Arts Center in Auburn. The 21-year-old wedding videographer and a senior student at Auburn University bested over 30 other competitors to win the state title. Last year's winner, Katelyn Vinson, passed the crown to her successor who will now prepare to represent the state of Alabama at Miss USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada possibly this fall. The runners-up were Miss Greystone Noelia Voigt, Miss Southern Plains Diane Westhoven, Miss Rover Region Margaret Anne McNeill, and Miss Huntsville Randee Hinson-McCrary. Morgan Romano was officially crowned by reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel as the new Miss USA 2022 on Friday, January 27 in Auburn, Alabama. The 24-year-old chemical engineer from Concord represented North Carolina at the 71st Miss USA competition last October and placed first runner-up. She was designated to take over the national title after R'Bonney won Miss Universe 2022 last January 14 in New Orleans, Louisiana. "Heart full of gratitude. I’m all yours, USA," Morgan posted on social media following her coronation ceremony held at Woltosz Theatre, Gogue Performing Arts Center. The special event coincided with Miss Alabama Teen USA and Miss Alabama USA 2023 preliminary competitions organized by  RPM Productions .
