71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel meets prime minister of Thailand


Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel, second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier and Top 5 finalist Gabriëla Dos Santos spent the Valentine's Day meeting with Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok.

The beauty queens looked stunning in their traditional Thai outfits during their visit to the Government House where they were accompanied by the owner of the Miss Universe Organization Anne Jakratutatip and executives of JKN Global Group.

They were also joined by the Thai Minister of Culture Ittipol Khunpluem and according to JKN18 News, part of their discussions was hosting the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) edition in the country.


Since R'Bonney and her queen sisters kicked off their official Asian tour in Thailand on Saturday, they have been busy doing fittings, media interviews, photoshoots, and private dinners.

While also in Bangkok during the day of hearts, she went to social media to greet and remind everyone "to spread more love" and the day was even more special as it has been exactly a month since she was crowned the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans.

"I sit here looking out of my window in Thailand feeling extremely thankful for this exciting time in my life. I’ve had more unique experiences in this past month than in my whole life. And I embrace every good or challenging event as an opportunity to grow every day," she wrote in her caption.

Miss Suomi 2023: Meet the Top 10 finalists

From the Top 20 semifinalists, only 10 beauties have been announced to continue to the final of Miss Suomi 2023 (Miss Universe Finland 2023) next month. The announcement led by Miss Suomi national director Sunneva Sjögren was held on Tuesday, August 15 at Valo Hotel in Helsinki. This year's 90-minute final competition, to be hosted by Constantinos "Gogi" Mavromichalis and Heidi Willman, will take place on September 9 at Aino Areena in Järvenpää. At the end of the upcoming event, last year's winner Petra Hämäläinen will crown her successor who will represent Finland at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this November. Following rounds of auditions across Zimbabwe, the Top 25 contestants vying for Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 have been officially announced. This year's pageant will be the first edition of Miss Universe Zimbabwe under the new national director Tendai Hunda, a former Miss World Zimbabwe and Miss Intercontinental 2015 fourth runner-up. Mr Lebanon 2023 is Seif Al Walid Harb

Seif Al Walid Harb was proclaimed Mr Lebanon 2023 during the broadcast of the national competition on Sunday, October 9 on MTV Lebanon. The 23-year-old fitness trainer beat 17 other young men from various Lebanese regions to win the title. He succeeds last year's winner Hady Fakhereldine and is now expected to represent his country at the Mr World pageant. Ahmad Arzouni was announced as the first runner-up while Mohammad Abyad, Anwar Shibli, and Fares Nasereldine finished as second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 6 and awarded Mr Personality was Jeremy Melkonian, an inspirational competitor who lost a leg in a traffic accident a few years ago. Mostafa Dabbous was named Mr Photogenic. Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 is Brooke Bruk-Jackson

Brooke Bruk-Jackson edged out 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2023 on Saturday, September 16 at Harare Hippodrome. The 21-year-old model will now prepare to represent Zimbabwe at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador this December. It will be her country's first participation in over two decades. Amanda Mpofu and Nokutenda Marumbwa were the first and second runners-up, respectively. "My heart is full of joy and gratitude. Thank you to each and every one of you for your kind messages and support," shared the new Miss Universe Zimbabwe. Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 is Lorena Santen

Lorena Santen was crowned Miss Universe Switzerland 2023 in a national competition on Saturday, September 23 at the Hilton Hotel in Geneva. The 26-year-old economics graduate from Aargau beat 14 other competitors to win the title. She succeeds last year's winner Alia Guindi and will soon represent her country at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. Marisa Varunee Kappenthuler and Emilie Bovier were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while  Jessica Alice Schmid and Dalia Del Valle Kramer rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. While the official date and venue of the national final have not yet been announced, all 51 state representatives have already been crowned. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes. For the first time since scrapping the swimsuit competition in 2018, there will be a segment that focuses on health and fitness.
