Miss Germantown, Savena Mushinge, was crowned Miss Maryland USA 2023 on Sunday, April 2 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville. Rounding out the Top 5 finalists were Kennedy Taylor, Lydia Frentsos, Danielle Shook, and Taylor Wright. They were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Maryland USA is a 26-year-old Zambian-American model and a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a degree in anthropology. She is currently working as a transaction manager at the JLL DC office in Washington, D.C.
