Mia le Roux was crowned Miss South Africa 2024 during the pageant's national final on Saturday, August 10 at the Sub Bet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria. The 28-year-old marketing manager, model, and part-time student received her crown from her predecessor, last year's winner Natasha Joubert. Nompumelelo Maduna and Onalenna Constantin were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Layla Zoubair and Ontshiametse Tlhopane rounded out the Top 5 finalists. Dennise Cuadrado, the representative of Antioquia, was crowned Miss Grand Colombia 2024 on Sunday, August 4 at the Centro de Convenciones Cartagena de Indias. The 29-year-old fashion producer and model will represent Colombia at Miss Grand International 2024 in Cambodia and Thailand this October. The Miss Nepal 2024 final competition was held on Saturday, August 3 at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. A total of 26 contestants from across the country competed during the 28th edition of the annual competition. Crowned Miss Nepal World 2024 is a 26-year-old entrepreneur and social worker from Kathmandu, Ashma Kumari KC. She succeeds last year's titleholder, Srichchha Pradhan, and will represent Nepal at the 73rd Miss World. Miss Mundo Atlantico, Andrea Romero, was crowned Miss Mundo Colombia 2024 (Miss World Colombia 2024) during the national competition held on Sunday, August 4 in Bogota. The 19-year-old beauty from Barranquilla, Atlantico bested 17 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent Colombia at the 73rd Miss World. The finalists vying for Miss Universe Malaysia 2024 have been unveiled on Monday, August 5 at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. A total of 16 outstanding finalists were introduced by the Miss Universe Malaysia Organization during the press conference. Alma Cooper from Michigan was crowned Miss USA 2024 on Sunday in Los Angeles making her the fourth woman from her home state to become Miss USA. Her road to the national crown started when she won Miss Michigan USA 2024 last April in Port Huron where she made history as the first active-duty army officer to take home the state title. The new Miss USA graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, with a degree in mathematical science and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army. During her senior year, she became the youngest recipient of the Knight-Hennessy Scholarship and is currently pursuing her master's degree in statistics in the number one statistics program in the USA at Stanford University. Alma is dedicated to amplifying the voices of underrepresented minorities through data science.
