Miss Universe Philippines 2022 is Celeste Cortesi of Pasay City


Miss Pasay City, Celeste Cortesi bested 31 other beauties to be crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022 in a glittering competition held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, April 30.

The 24-year-old Filipino-Italian model also bagged the Miss Photogenic and Best in Swimsuit awards. She succeeds Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City and will now prepare to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant later this year.

Former Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee of Makati City was proclaimed Miss Universe Philippines Tourism while Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol clinched the Miss Universe Philippines Charity title.

Annabelle Mae McDonnell of Misamis Oriental and Maria Katrina Llegado were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.

The new Miss Universe Philippines is no stranger to pageantry. In 2018, she won Miss Philippines Earth and finished in the Top 8 at Miss Earth competition.

This year's Miss Universe Philippines edition gathered former Miss Universe winners Pia Wurtzbach, Iris Mittenaere, and Demi-Leigh Tebow as hosts while the reigning queen from India, Harnaaz Sandhu, was invited as a special guest and judge.

Vietnam to host the 73rd Miss World competition this summer

Vietnam, the land of the "Ascending Dragon", has been revealed as the official host country of the 73rd Miss World (Miss World 2026) competition. The official announcement was made during the Miss World Vietnam final on March 29 by Miss World CEO and Chairperson Julia Morley CBE and representatives of Sen Vàng, the local organizers and co-producers of the event. The 21-year-old graduate of St. Ignatius Catholic School is a dedicated advocate for empowering youth. She founded her Beauty with a Purpose platform, Unsilenced, which emphasizes child protection, consent, and emotional awareness for young individuals. Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Meet the winners of Miss Turkey 2025

The glittering Miss Turkey 2025 national competition was held last December 19 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. A total of 20 stunning finalists were chosen to compete for the national titles that were at stake — Miss Turkey World and Miss Turkey Supranational. Sıla Saraydemir, a 22-year-old student, was crowned Miss Turkey World 2025. She is expected to represent Turkey at the 73rd Miss World competition whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Miss Universe Japan 2025 is Kaori Hashimoto from Tochigi Prefecture

Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Saki Fujita and Reina Ishii were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Chiemi Takayama and Naomi Monique Kamidate were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Kaya Chakrabortty, last year's winner who made the Top 30 at Miss Universe 2024 held in Mexico, crowned her successor at the end of the event. Varvara Yakovenko beat over 50 other contestants to win Miss Intercontinental 2025 on Thursday, January 29 at V Hotel Sahl Hasheesh in Egypt. The 18-year-old model became the fourth woman from Russia to hold the international beauty title. She succeeds last year's winner María Cepero from Puerto Rico. Lorena Suárez Lara from Cuba was named first runner-up while Vanessa Natcha Wenk of Thailand and Faidha Kassim Kivuyo of Tanzania were the second and third runners-up, respectively. Idil Bilgen was crowned Miss Turkey World 2024 during the Miss Turkey 2024 national final on Wednesday, September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul. The 24-year-old medical doctor bested 19 other competitors to win the national title. She will prepare to represent Türkiye at the 72nd Miss World whose date and venue have yet to be announced. Cemre Üker clinched the Miss Turkey Supranational 2024 crown and will head to Poland to compete in Miss Supranational 2025 next summer.
