Send-off event held for Miss and Mister Supranational Vietnam 2022, national competition launched


A send-off event was held for Miss Supranational Vietnam 2022 Nguyen Huynh Kim Duyen and Mister Supranational Vietnam 2022 Dat Kyo who will represent their country at Miss and Mister Supranational 2022 in Poland this July.

This year's national competition was also officially launched. The press conference took place at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, May 17.

Unimedia in collaboration with Leading Media will organize a special reality TV format for the pageant which is expected to run for several months and the final will take place later this year.

Gerhard Parzutka Von Lipinsky, founder and president of the Miss and Mister Supranational pageants, was a special guest during the event.

The event was also attended by Vietnam's very own Mister International Trinh Van Bao and Miss Universe 2018 Top 5 finalist H’Hen Nie.

Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 is Giulia Zanoni of La Unión

Giulia Zanoni, representing La Unión, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 on Friday, September 26 at Palacio Tecleño in Santa Tecla. The 20-year-old international relations student succeeds last year's winner Florence Gisselle Garcia and will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Alva Echegoyen of La Paz finished first runner-up and was crowned Miss International El Salvador 2025. She will head to Japan, also this November, for Miss International 2025. Alba Rivera of San Miguel, Karen Segura of Santa Ana, and Gloria Sandoval of Usulután were named the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Completing the Top 7 was Sairi Rivera of Morazán who was crowned as El Salvador's representatives for the next Miss Mesoamerica pageant. Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 is Kimberly de Boer from Curacao

Kimberly de Boer of Curacao beat 27 other contestants to win Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 on Saturday, February 21 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The 21-year-old artist and painter from Willemstad became the second woman from Curacao to hold the title next to Evalina Van Putten (2011). Marta Isabel Otero of Colombia placed second (Virreina Hispanoamericana 2026) while Criselys Garcia of the Dominican Republic and Melissa Payró of Mexico were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The rest of the runners-up were Tiffany González of Puerto Rico (3rd), Camila Chacón of Peru (4th), Emely Barile of Venezuela (5th), and Luz González of Nicaragua (6th). Danielle Latimer beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 on Saturday, July 26 at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. The 36-year-old entrepreneur, stylist and photographer will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Universe 2026 host country and venue officially announced

The Miss Universe Organization has officially confirmed that Puerto Rico will be the host country for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant. Puerto Rican politician Jenniffer González Colón also made an announcement in a conference held on Tuesday, September 23 in San Juan. The 75th Miss Universe edition will be held in November 2026 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the largest indoor entertainment and sports arena in Puerto Rico. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark was present at the conference alongside former winners from Puerto Rico — Deborah Carthy-Deu (1985), Dayanara Torres (1993), Denise Quiñones (2001), and Zuleyka Rivera (2006). Transgender woman Nguyen Huong Giang to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe 2025

Former Miss International Queen winner Nguyen Huong Giang has been officially announced on Wednesday, September 25 as Miss Universe Vietnam 2025. The 33-year-old model, singer and actress from Hanoi made history as the first ever transgender woman to represent Vietnam at Miss Universe. Huong Giang rose to prominence when she joined the fourth season of Vietnam Idol. She also competed and won The Amazing Race Vietnam 2014 with her ex-boyfriend Criss Lai. Tangia Zaman Methila was crowned Miss Universe Bangladesh 2025 in a special ceremony held on Thursday, September 18 in Dhaka. The 33-year-old model, TV host and film actress previously won Miss Universe Bangladesh 2020 but was unable to compete in the Miss Universe pageant due to travel restrictions.
