Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 is Elena Rivera of Toa Baja


Toa Baja representative Elena Rivera was crowned Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2022 (Miss World Puerto Rico 2022) during the national competition held on Thursday, June 30 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas.

Amanda Pérez Solis of Río Grande and Andrea Carolina Rivera of Lares were the first and second runners-up, respectively.

A total of 30 contestants competed for the coveted national title and the right to represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss World pageant.

Last year's titleholder Aryam Díaz Rosado crowned her successor at the end of the event.

The new Miss World Puerto Rico is an 18-year-old fashion model and marketing student. She will now prepare to win her country's third Miss World next to Wilnelia Merced and Stephanie del Valle.

Miss Namibia 2022 is Cassia Sharpley

Cassia Sharpley, 21, from Windhoek, bested 11 other finalists to be crowned Miss Namibia 2022 on Friday, August 12 at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino. Leoné Van Jaarsveld, 26, from Swakopmund was named first runner-up while Diana Andimba, 23, from Windhoek finished as second runner-up. The new Miss Namibia is a basic life support paramedic and student at Namibia University of Science and Technology pursuing a degree in emergency medical care (advanced life support). As a poverty eradication activist, Cassia founded the Honey Comb Haven Foundation to help the less fortunate members of her community. Last year's winner, Chelsi Shikongo, relinquished her crown to her successor at the end of the competition. Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 is Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño

Miss Fajardo, Ashley Ann Cariño, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 in a glittering competition that took place on Thursday, August 11 at the Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré, also known as Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan. The 27-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Michelle Colón of Loíza and will represent Puerto Rico at the 71st Miss Universe pageant (Miss Universe 2022) later this year. Leonela González De Jesús of Dorado and Camille Fabery Diana of Cataño were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The representatives of Aguadilla,  Graciela Berrios and Toa Alta, Valeria Pagán Masini, completed the Top 5 finalists. Miss Universe pageant to allow mothers and married women to compete

During the 48th Miss Universe pageant held in Trinidad and Tobago, the final question was "If Miss Universe were to become pregnant during her reign, should she be allowed to continue as Miss Universe?” Botswana's Mpule Kwelagobe answered: "Personally, I think Miss Universe is a symbol of a woman as well as she's celebrating her femininity, and I believe that if she should fall pregnant it will not in any way interrupt her duties. I believe as a woman she should celebrate her femininity." The Miss Namibia 2022 national competition is scheduled to take place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Friday, August 12. A total of 12 finalists are vying for the national title currently held by Chelsi Shikongo, who represented Namibia during the 70th Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, Israel last December. The Miss Namibia organization currently holds the right to send Namibian representatives to Miss Universe, Miss World, and Miss Teen International competitions. Tiffany Conolly was crowned Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2022 on Saturday, August 6 at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa. The 24-year-old beauty from West Bay triumphed over seven other contestants to win the national title. Chloe Powery-Doxey and Hayley Grizzel were the first and second runners-up, respectively. Swelia Da Silva Antonio was crowned Miss Universo Angola 2022 (Miss Universe Angola 2022) on Saturday, August 6 at Pérola dos Navegantes in Benguela. The 24-year-old social scientist, from the Netherlands, bested 23 other contestants to win the national competition. She succeeds Miss Angola 2019 Salett Natalia Martins Miguel and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2022. Yasser Coimbra of Bié and Nelma Tchissola of Cuanza Norte were respectively the first and second runners-up while Diana Mingas of Moxico and Mafalda Guilherme of Zaire completed the Top 5 finalists. Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 is Sabrina Deraneck

Sabrina Deraneck was proclaimed Miss Grand Venezuela 2022 on Saturday, August 13 at Teatro Municipal de Caracas (Municipal Theater of Caracas). The 23-year-old teacher by profession from the state of Mérida will represent her country at Miss Grand International 2022 in Indonesia this October. Alia Abized, 19, of Nueva Esparta, and Valentina Martinez, 22, of Anzoátegui were named Miss Elite Venezuela and Miss Grand Venezuela 2023, respectively. They are expected to compete in next year's Miss Elite World and Miss Grand International editions. A total of 22 beauties participated during the first edition of Miss Grand Venezuela.
