LIVE UPDATES: Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2022 Final Results


The prestigious Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2022 grand final is taking place tonight at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Out of 37 competitors, five queens will be crowned at the culmination of the event — MBGN World, MBGN Universe, MBGN Supranational, MBGN Ecowas, and MBGN Tourism. They will represent Nigeria at the next Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Supranational, Miss Ecowas, and Miss Tourism International pageants.

Hosted by former titleholder turned artist Munachi Abii and professional actor Deyemi Okanlawon, tonight's competition is the 34th edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant. The show broadcasts live on Silverbird TV.

A total of 85 beauties from around the world will compete in the highly anticipated 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador this November. Antea Mršić edged out 14 other contestants to win Miss Universe Croatia 2026 on Monday, May 25 at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. The 24-year-old sports management graduate from Zagreb will now prepare to represent Croatia at the Miss Universe 2026 pageant in Puerto Rico this November. Monika Vojvodić was named first runner-up while Laura Vujica, Magdalena Fofić and Beata Šimat were the second, third and fourth runners-up, respectively. "I am endlessly grateful for every single person who believed in me," the new Miss Universe Croatia shared online. "I am excited to have the opportunity to represent Croatia on the world stage," she added. This year's pageant marked the 30th anniversary edition of the national competition. Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Born in Ica, the new Miss Universe Peru is a business administration graduate from the University of Lima. She also obtained her degree in communication from the Florida Internationl University in the USA. No stranger to pageantry, Luren placed first runner-up at the Miss Peru 2024 pageant. Vanessa Pulgarin from Colombia was proclaimed the winner MGI All Stars 2026 on Saturday, May 30 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 34-year-old model bested over 50 other contestants to win the first edition of the pageant. She is expected to return for the second edition to defend her title. Twenty-four contestants have been officially announced to compete for the coveted title of Miss República Dominicana 2023 (Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2023). Kaori Hashimoto was crowned Miss Universe Japan 2025 in a national competition held on Wednesday, July 16 in Shibuya. The 21-year-old business administration student from Tochigi Prefecture beat over 40 other contestants to win the national title. Saki Fujita and Reina Ishii were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Chiemi Takayama and Naomi Monique Kamidate were the rest of the Top 5 finalists. Vida Milivojša was crowned Miss Slovenije 2022 (Miss Slovenia) on Sunday, September 4 in the beautiful municipality of Braslovče. The 23-year-old beauty from Ljubljana bested 15 other finalists to win her national title. She is a dancer and student pursuing a degree in marketing communication and public relations. Hana Klaut, 26, and Talita Sofija Komelj, 22, were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Isabella Rossini, 20, from Czech Republic, was crowned Miss Aura International 2026 at the conclusion of the pageant on Friday, May 22 at FashionTV Luxe Resort in Antalya, Turkey. The professional model, singer and theater actress bested over 40 other contestants to win the international title. She succeeds Krishan Pauline Alerre of the Philippines.
