71st Miss Universe: Vietnam wins Swimsuit Cape Vote


Miss Universe Vietnam Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Châu has been officially announced as the winner of the Swimsuit Cape Vote — an official fan vote conducted by the Miss Universe Organization on its official app.

The winning cape was showcased during the 71st Miss Universe preliminary swimsuit competition which was held on January 11 in New Orleans.

Ngọc Châu chose the design for her personalized cape as it motivates her to conquer her Miss Universe dream. Wearing it feels like she has all the support of the entire Vietnamese people. She believes her people love to protect and take care of each other.

The entire message she also wants the design to have is to inspire dreamers that not all dreams come true, or simply must be postponed, but everyone should keep dreaming and dare to live their passions in order to live a meaningful life.

"This award is not just for me, but for everyone's dreams. Keep dreaming and strive for it, one day your dream will come true," she wrote on social media.

According to the 28-year-old beauty, a #DreamwithChau drawing contest was held for the design of the cape with the hope of bringing the dream of Vietnam to the Miss Universe stage. The drawing contest has received hundreds of entries from all over the country — from dreams no matter how simple they seem yet bring great emotions.

"I had read every story you send to me, and the dreams seem to be very simple but it brings great emotions. It's an indescribable feeling for me, I really appreciate what you guys have sent to me," she said to her fans.

"We all have our own dreams, and maybe the way to conquering our dreams will be a little difficult and will make us a little discouraged," she added.

"Sometimes we will encounter failures but the more important thing is that we gave our best and fought for it. I firmly believe that we will be the winner if we don’t give up."

Ngọc Châu received a warm welcome upon her arrival back in Vietnam following her impeccable representation during the recently held Miss Universe 2022 pageant in the US.

Melissa Queenie Sapini was officially crowned Miss Universe Haiti 2025 in a special ceremony held on Saturday, October 18 at The Palm Theater (Embassy Suites) in Boca Raton, Florida. Miss USA 2025, the much-awaited 74th Miss USA pageant will be held on Friday, October 24 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Miss Turkey 2024: Meet the Top 20 finalists

A total of 20 finalists have been selected to compete for Miss Turkey 2024 following an elimination round held on Wednesday, September 4 in Istanbul. The grand final will take place on September 11 at the Lazzoni Hotel and the winners are expected to represent Turkey at the next Miss World and Miss Supranational pageants. Miss Grand Ohio Ivana Garcia was crowned Miss Grand USA 2025 in a national competition held last Monday, August 18 in Las Vegas. The 23-year-old model and entrepreneur will represent the USA at Miss Grand International 2025 in Thailand this October. She succeeds last year's winner Cora Griffen. Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 is Giulia Zanoni of La Unión

Giulia Zanoni, representing La Unión, was crowned Miss Universe El Salvador 2025 on Friday, September 26 at Palacio Tecleño in Santa Tecla. The 20-year-old international relations student succeeds last year's winner Florence Gisselle Garcia and will represent El Salvador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November.
