71st Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel meets prime minister of Thailand


Reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel, second runner-up Andreína Martínez Founier and Top 5 finalist Gabriëla Dos Santos spent the Valentine's Day meeting with Thailand's Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in Bangkok.

The beauty queens looked stunning in their traditional Thai outfits during their visit to the Government House where they were accompanied by the owner of the Miss Universe Organization Anne Jakratutatip and executives of JKN Global Group.

They were also joined by the Thai Minister of Culture Ittipol Khunpluem and according to JKN18 News, part of their discussions was hosting the 73rd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2024) edition in the country.


Since R'Bonney and her queen sisters kicked off their official Asian tour in Thailand on Saturday, they have been busy doing fittings, media interviews, photoshoots, and private dinners.

While also in Bangkok during the day of hearts, she went to social media to greet and remind everyone "to spread more love" and the day was even more special as it has been exactly a month since she was crowned the 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans.

"I sit here looking out of my window in Thailand feeling extremely thankful for this exciting time in my life. I’ve had more unique experiences in this past month than in my whole life. And I embrace every good or challenging event as an opportunity to grow every day," she wrote in her caption.

Spain's Juul Messiaen crowned Man of the World 2025

Man of the World 2025, the 7th edition of the annual Man of the World competition was held on Saturday, May 31 at the SM North Edsa Skydome in Quezon City, Philippines. Juul Messiaen, a 23-year-old model, athlete and real estate agent from Málaga, Spain bested over 20 other contestants to win the international male pageant. Israel Sierra of Mexico was named first runner-up while Sittichok Panitloedtewa of Thailand, Honza Jiránek of the Czech Republic, and Sworman Delgado of Panama were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The Top Model competition of the 72nd Miss World was held on Saturday, May 24 at the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, India. Wearing stunning creations by acclaimed Indian designer Archana Kochhar, the 108 contestants impressed the judges with their elegance and confidence on the runway. According to the Miss World organization, "Each look featured exquisite fabrics sourced from Telangana, beautifully showcasing the region's rich textile heritage and craftsmanship." Christine Juliane Opiaza of the Philippines was officially crowned Miss Grand International 2024 in a special ceremony on Tuesday, June 3 at MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The 26-year-old pasarela coach from Castillejos, Zambales took over the title from former winner Rachel Gupta of India whose reign prematurely concluded due to issues with her and the MGI organization. Miss World Philippines Krishnah Gravidez has returned home following her successful stint at the 72nd Miss World last month in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Wearing a custom white dress by La Rosa Studio PH, the 24-year-old Filipina beauty was honored in a special homecoming parade on Saturday, June 7 at the SM Mall of Asia. Opal Suchata Chuangsri was officially proclaimed Miss World Thailand 2025 in a special press presentation held on Tuesday, April 22 in Bangkok. The 22-year-old political science major at Thammasat University will represent Thailand at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad ( Telangana), India this May. No stranger to pageantry, Opal was previously crowned Miss Universe Thailand and went to Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico where she finished as the third runner-up. "I am deeply honored to be standing here as your new Miss World Thailand. Carrying not only the crown and the sash, i carry with me the hopes and the spirit of my people, my nation," she said during her speech. Rachel Gupta from India made history when she was crowned Miss Grand International 2024 last October in Bangkok, Thailand. She became the first Indian woman to win the beauty title. On Wednesday, May 28, the Miss Grand International organization officially announced her termination as titleholder with immediate effect. According to MGI, the decision was made due to her "failure to fulfill her assigned duties, engagement in external projects without prior approval, and refusal to participate in the scheduled trip to Guatemala." Contrary to MGI's announcement, Rachel also shared her own "decision to step down" and cited "broken promises, mistreatment, and a toxic environment" as her reasons for returning the crown.
