Iona Gibbs to represent the Philippines at Miss Intercontinental 2023

Mutya ng Pilipinas and the Miss Intercontinental Organization forge ties, Iona Gibbs appointed Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2023


Mutya Ng Pilipinas (MNP) one of the most- respected and longest-running beauty pageants in the Philippines proudly announced its official alliance with the Miss Intercontinental Organization (MIO).

Having been awarded the license for 2023, the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2022 winner Iona Gibbs from Bataan will be the official delegate to the Miss Intercontinental 2023 pageant.

Fred Yuson, Chairman of MNP making good on his promise said: "In 2019 on our 51st Mutya ng Pilipinas edition, I made a commitment towards MNP’s growth and expansion. Today is the day with the announcement of our formal ties with MIO."

MNP President Cory Quirino added: "We welcome MIO with open arms and look forward to a great year in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2023. Pageant fans should expect much enthusiasm and excitement this year and hopefully in the years to come."

Sharing compatible approaches in its platform for beauty pageantry, MIO searches throughout the continents just as Mutya ng Pilipinas conducts its campaign in the far reaches of the country’s hometowns and in Filipino Overseas Communities abroad.

Expectations are high for a formidable partnership between the 51-year-old Miss Intercontinental Organization and Mutya Ng Pilipinas which will stage its 53rd edition this later year.

The license for Miss Intercontinental Philippines was previously held by Binibining Pilipinas. Past titleholders Karen Gallman and Cinderella Obeñita have won Miss Intercontinental 2018 and 2021, respectively.

Anambra's Basil Onyinyechi crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025

Miss Anambra, Basil Onyinyechi, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 on Saturday, August 30 at Balmoral Convention Center in Victoria Island, Lagos. She bested 21 other contestants to win her national title and will now prepare to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Meet the winners of Miss Nepal 2025

The Miss Nepal 2025 pageant was held on Saturday, August 30 at the  Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur. In addition to Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal International, and Miss Nepal Earth, the 26 contestants also competed for the new title of Miss Nepal Cosmo. Choi Soon-hwa recently created a buzz in the pageant community when she appeared as the oldest contestant vying for Miss Universe Korea 2024. The 81-year-old senior model who walked her first runway in her 70s made history as she competes alongside more than 30 others in the upcoming national competition. Veena Praveenar Singh bested 76 other contestants to win Miss Universe Thailand 2025 in a spectacular show on Saturday, August 23 at MGI Hall in Bangkok. The 29-year-old beauty representing the province of Saraburi will now prepare to compete in the upcoming Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. The spectacular Miss Universe 2024 preliminary competition and national costume show was held last night at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City. Hosted by reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios and Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, the important event kicked off with the contestants parading in their colorful and stunning national costumes. After the national costume segment, each contestant walked on stage in their swimsuits and capes, and then by group during the evening gown. Former Miss France Eve Gilles has been officially named Miss Universe France 2025 by the Miss France organization. The 22-year-old model from Quaëdypre is set to represent France at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant to be held in Thailand this November.
