Miss Earth Colombia 2023 is Luz Adriana López of Caquetá


Miss Earth Caquetá, Luz Adriana López Ayala, edged out 10 other contestants to be crowned Miss Earth Colombia 2023 on Saturday, April 29 at Centro de Convenciones Las Camelias in Montenegro, Quindío.

The 26-year-old environmental engineer representing the Serranía de Chiribiquete will now prepare for the Miss Earth 2023 pageant to be held in Vietnam later this year.

Marelis Salas Julio of Bolivar placed second and was named Miss Earth Air and Miss Intercontinental Colombia 2023. She will be participating in Miss Intercontinental 2023.

The third placer, Stephany Silva of Cauca, was announced as Miss Earth Water and Miss Eco Colombia 2023. She will proceed to Miss Eco International 2023.

Rounding out the Top 4 finalists was Juliana Aristizábal of Quindío. She was awarded the title Miss Earth Water and Miss Environment Colombia 2023 and is expected to compete in Miss Environment International 2023.

Last year's appointed Miss Earth Colombia, Andrea Aguilera, relinquished her reign at the end of the event. To recall, she clinched the Miss Earth Fire title at Miss Earth 2022 final in the Philippines last November.

Although Colombia has not won Miss Earth since its debut in 2001, the country has made it to the Top 4 four times. The other representatives who came close to taking home the crown were Michelle Gomez (2016), Juliana Franco (2017), and Valeria Ayos (2018).

Miss Universe 2023: Meet the contestants

A total of 85 beauties from around the world will compete in the highly anticipated 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador this November. This year's competition will mark the debut of Pakistan and the returns of 10 countries consisting of Denmark, Egypt, Guyana, Hungary, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mongolia, Norway, and Zimbabwe. The 8th Mister Global edition is underway in Chiang Mai, Thailand and 39 of the world's most handsome and inspiring gentlemen are competing for the title. Following their arrival to the host city earlier this month, the contestants have been busy with photo shooting, filming, touring, and preparing for the big event. Miss Palmela, Marina Machete was crowned Miss Universe Portugal 2023 on Thursday, October 5 in Borba, District of Évora. The 28-year-old beauty bested 16 other finalists to win the glittering competition. Aside from the crown, she also bagged the Miss Beautifully Confident award. While the official date and venue of the national final have not yet been announced, all 51 state representatives have already been crowned. Mrs. South Dakota American Hannah Neeleman was crowned Mrs. American 2023 in a glittering competition held on Friday, August 25 at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada.
