Miss Nepal 2023: Meet the 24 contestants


Miss Nepal 2023, the 27th edition of the Miss Nepal pageant presented by Dabur Vatika will be held on May 27 at the Godavari Sunrise Convention Center in Lalitpur.

Following rounds of auditions across all provinces of the country, a total of 24 contestants were officially sashed last March 31 by The Hidden Treasure Director Diwakar Rajkarnikar at Park Village Resort, Budalinkantha.

Three new titleholders will be crowned by outgoing queens Miss Nepal World 2022 Priyanka Rani Joshi, Miss Nepal Earth 2022 Sareesha Shrestha, and Miss Nepal International 2022 Nancy Khadka at the culmination of this year's event.

Their respective successors will go on to represent Nepal at international competitions — Miss World 2024, Miss Earth 2023 (Vietnam), and Miss International 2023 (Japan) pageants.

The grand coronation show of Miss Nepal 2023 will be broadcast exclusively on Kantipur Television (KTV) and live streaming on the pageant's official YouTube channel.

Puerto Rico's Ivana Carolina Irizarry crowned Universal Woman 2025

Ivana Carolina Irizarry, representing Puerto Rico, was crowned Universal Woman 2025 on Saturday, August 10 in Jaipur, India. The 30-year-old model, presenter and businesswoman made history as the first Puerto Rican woman to clinch the international title. She succeeds last year's winner Maria Gigante of the Philippines. Iris Miguélez of Spain was named first runner-up while Ismelys Velásquez of Venezuela, Katty López España of Ecuador, and Roci Pankov of Brazil were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Universal Woman is no stranger to pageantry. She took part in Miss International 2019, finishing in the Top 15, and also competed in Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2024, where she reached the Top 5. Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 is Gabrielle Henry

Gabrielle Henry bested over 20 other contestants to be crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at AC Hotel in Kingston. The 28-year-old medical doctor will represent Jamaica at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. She succeeds last year's winner Rachel Silvera. Apart from winning Miss Universe Jamaica, she also bagged the Best in Swimwear, Personality Award, Media Challenge, and the Altruism Award. Troy-Ann Anderson and Matea Smith were announced the first and second runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Jamaica won her coveted national title in her second attempt. Jennifer Ventura Marte emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2025 on Sunday, August 10 at Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito in Santo Domingo. The 27-year-old civil engineer from Barahona bested 28 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Jearmanda Ramos of Punta Cana and Criselys Garcia of Peravia were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Miss Denmark org releases statement after losing Miss Universe license

The Miss Denmark Organization no longer holds the license for Miss Universe Denmark while Dubai based Filipino socialite Josh Yugen recently emerged as new national director. In a statement on social media, the new license holder shared, "The House of Yugen, the global powerhouse behind some of the most groundbreaking and inclusive pageants in the world, has officially taken over the national license of Miss Universe Denmark." Bereniece Dickenson was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2025 last Friday, August 1 at Gustarvus Lightbourne Sports Complex in Kew Town Settlement. The 22-year-old architecture and building technology graduate from Salt Cay will represent the Turks and Caicos Islands at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Selena Grant, 24, from Providenciales, was announced as first runner-up and bagged the Best Costume award. Sweden's Yvonne Ryding celebrates 40 years since winning Miss Universe 1984

Let's walk down memory lane as 40 years ago, Fröken Sverige Yvonne Agneta Ryding was crowned Miss Universe 1984 during the 33rd Miss Universe pageant in Miami, Florida. The 22-year-old model and speaker from Bodden Town will represent the Cayman Islands at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Genesis Ryan was named first runner-up while Gileen MacDonald, and Tiona Miller were announced the second and third runners-up, respectively.
