Miss Universe Australia 2023: Meet the finalists from South Australia and Queensland


The state finals for the Miss Universe Australia 2023 pageant kicked off on Tuesday, May 16 at The Feathers Hotel in Burnside.

From South Australia, the winners Mia Dalkos and Emily Rogers will now proceed to the national final this September in Melbourne.

For Queensland, held on Wednesday, May 17 at Transcontinental Hotel in Brisbane, a total of five finalists have been chosen.

Also moving closer to the coveted crown and beauty title are Breanna Monck, Sabrina D'Odorico, Lily Goodare, Emily Outridge, and Dominique Ross.

Up next: New South Wales, West Coast, and Victoria

Miss Hawaii USA 2023 is Savannah Gankiewicz

Miss Wailea Savannah Gankiewicz was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2023 in a state competition held on Sunday, January 15 at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. The 27-year-old model of Filipino, Vietnamese and Polish descent from Maui was also awarded Miss Photogenic. She will now represent Hawaii at the Miss USA 2023 pageant in Reno, Nevada later this year. Kawena Kan-Hai, Breea Yamat, Mikayla Baptista, and Ronelle Valera were announced as the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Last year's titleholder who competed in Miss USA 2022 last October, Kiana Yamat, passed the crown to her successor at the end of the event. Another winner proclaimed at the same venue was Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2023 Noelani DeNisi. She was crowned by her predecessor Malulani Paiste and will be heading to the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant. The Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 (Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024) final will be held this Sunday, May 5 at Centro de Convenciones Sambil in Santo Domingo. Eighteen contestants representing various places and international communities of the Dominican Republic are vying for the national title. Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024 is Celinee Santos Frias

Celinee Santos Frias was crowned Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2024 during the Miss Republica Dominicana 2024 final competition held on Sunday, May 5 at Centro de Convenciones Sambil in Santo Domingo. The 24-year-old model and actress, representing Distrito Nacional, will now represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year. Melissa Nuñez of the Dominican Community in the USA was named first runner-up while Haidy Cruz of Monte Cristi finished as the second runner-up. Gemmy Quelliz of Santo Domingo Este, Alba Blair of Jarabacoa, and Karibel Perez of Santiago were the third, fourth, and fifth runners-up, respectively. Miss USA 2023 Noelia Voigt officially announced her shocking resignation as titleholder in a post on social media on Monday, May 6.s "I realize this may come as a large shock to many. Never compromise your physical and mental well-being. Our health is our wealth," she wrote. "A million thank you's to all of you for your constant and unwavering support. Time to write the next chapter. I hope you’ll stick around to see what's next," she added. Miss Universe Germany 2024 is Pia Theissen

Pia Theissen was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2024 on Sunday, April 28 at Living Hotel de Medici in Düsseldorf. The 25-year-old social worker, occupational therapist and yoga teacher from Cologne will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Annabelle Keller and Ilke Filiz were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Angelina Matic, Jennifer Monreal, and Tatjana Genrich rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Universe Netherlands' national director Milou Verhoeks, reigning Miss Denmark Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen, and former Miss Universe Germany Soraya Kohlmann were among the judges. The new Miss Universe Germany succeeds last year's winner  Helena Bleicher , who participated in Miss Universe 2023 last November in El Salvador. Jeymi Escobedo was crowned Miss World Guatemala 2024 during the glittering Miss Guatemala 2024 final on Wednesday, May 1 at Teatro Dick Smith in Guatemala City. The 18-year-old, representing the department of Suchitepéquez, succeeds  Marcela Miranda and will now prepare to represent Guatemala at the 72nd Miss World. Also crowned during the event were the representatives of the country for Miss International 2024, Miss Grand International 2024, and Reina Hispanoamericana 2024. The title Miss International Guatemala 2024 went to Helen Morales while Cristina Gonzalo and Elizabeth Blanco were the Miss Grand Guatemala 2024 and Reina Hispanoamericana 2024, respectively. Former Miss Oregon Teen USA, Shayla Montgomery, was crowned Miss Oregon USA 2024 on Saturday, May 4 at the Sherwood Center for the Arts in Sherwood, Oregon. The 22-year-old registered nurse, representing Portland, will now prepare to represent the "Beaver State" at Miss USA 2024 this August in Hollywood, California. She succeeds last year's winner, physicist and aspiring astronaut  Manju Bangalore .
