Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska visits South Africa, meet new license holder

Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska arrived in Cape Town, South Africa this week with Miss World CEO Julia Morley for a 6-day visit to the rainbow nation.

In addition to humanitarian purposes, their official visit also includes the launch of the new Miss World South franchise under Carol Bouwer Productions.

According to Miss World, the new license holder has a long history with the organization having presented the MNET coverage of Miss World 1994 at Sun City.

"Carol understands the importance of our cherished theme of Beauty With A Purpose, which underpins all Miss World activities around the world. Carol's passion, integrity, and creativity will take Beauty With A Purpose to the next level," Miss World posted on social media.

Former Miss World from South Africa, Rolene Strauss also extended her support and said, "I wish Carol great success with Miss World South Africa and I offer her my full  support as she begins her journey."

This is Karolina's first official travel to South Africa since winning Miss World. She shared, "I am very excited to explore your beautiful country for the next couple of days. Let's start our trip with Cape Town."

Late last month, she announced participating in the inaugural Mandela Marathon in Mvezo, Eastern Cape to support the iconic event honoring the life and legacy of former South African President Nelson Mandela.

The license for Miss World South Africa was previously held by the Miss South Africa organization.
