Miss Costa Rica 2023 is Lisbeth Valverde


Lisbeth Valverde was crowned Miss Costa Rica 2023 (Miss Universe Costa Rica 2023) on Wednesday, August 16 at Estudio Marco Picado in San Jos茅.

The 28-year-old entrepreneur hailing from San Ram贸n holds a degree in special education from the National University of Costa Rica. Her social project "Manos Unidas Costa Rica" advocates for education, inclusion, and the preservation of our planet.

She succeeds last year's winner Mar铆a Fernanda Rodr铆guez 脕vila and will now prepare to represent Costa Rica at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) in El Salvador this November.

Natalia Gonz谩lez and Yoselyn Porras were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Catalina Murillo and Fabiola Calvo rounded out the Top 5 finalists.

The new Miss Costa Rica is no stranger to pageantry, having won several beauty titles in the past including Miss Centroamerican 2015, Miss Intercontinental Costa Rica 2016, Miss Costa Maya Internacional 2019, and Miss Panamerican 2019.

Danielle Latimer beat over 30 other contestants to win Miss Universe Great Britain 2025 on Saturday, July 26 at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales. The 36-year-old entrepreneur, stylist and photographer will represent Great Britain at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Nadia Mejia-Webb, representing Comunidad USA, was crowned Miss Universe Ecuador 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, July 26 at Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil. The 29-year-old model and singer will now prepare to represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Yamilex Hern谩ndez was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Latina 2025 during the culmination of Telemundo's "Miss Universe Latina, El Reality" on Monday, July 21. The 29-year-old Dominican model and host living in New Jersey received her crown and sash from former Miss Universe winners Alicia Machado and Andrea Meza.
