Miss Grand United States 2023 is Sthephanie Marie Miranda


Great Lakes' Sthephanie Marie Miranda bested over 20 other competitors to be crowned Miss Grand United States 2023 on Thursday, August 17 at the Copernicus Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The 29-year-old Puerto Rican influencer, YouTuber, and entrepreneur will now prepare to represent the United States of America at Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam this October. She succeeds last year's titleholder Emily Rose DeMure.

Samantha Catherine Keaton of Illinois was named first runner-up while Rachel Slawson of New York, Francie Millan of Texas and Mazzy Eckel of Washington were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Ivana Valentina Garcia of Florida, Kennedy Thomas of Georgia, Eboné Marie Jimerson of Pennsylvania and Maxine Cesar of Tri-state.

The new Miss Grand United States is no stranger to pageantry, having won Miss Ohio USA 2020 and placed in the Top 16 at Miss USA. She was also in the Top 5 at Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 and first runner-up at Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico 2023.

"I'm speechless. I'm so excited to be able to represent my country, my Latinos, and everyone that's been behind me since day one — you guys know who you are. I'm here, I'm ready, and with the team of H&I Grand Productions I know we're gonna get it," she said after winning last night's competition.

Miss Southern Plains, Diane Westhoven was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2024 during the state final on Saturday, June 1 at Auburn University's Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center. The 21-year-old student from Birmingham will now prepare to represent Alabama at Miss USA 2024 this summer in Hollywood, California. Miss Slovenia 2024 is Amadea Zupan from Sežana

Amadea Zupan was crowned Miss Slovenia 2024 (Miss World Slovenia) in a national competition held on Friday, January 10 in Lendava. The 26-year-old medical student at the University of Ljubljana beat 12 other contestants to win the title. She received the crown from her predecessor Alida Tomanič. Katja Zver was named first runner-up while Neja Prosenjak finished as second runner-up and also bagged the Miss Personality award. Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique beat 29 other contestants to win Miss France 2025 on Saturday, December 14 at the Futuroscope Arena in Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The 34-year-old flight attendant became the oldest winner of the prestigious national pageant. She also made history as the first woman from Martinique to become Miss France. Xinying Zhu from Anhui crowned Miss Universe China

China officially crowned two national queens for Miss Universe in one year. Two separate national events were held this year. Xinying Zhu from Anhui province was recently crowned Miss Universe China following an intense one-week competition in Zhangjiajie. The 18-year-old vocational student majoring to become a flight attendant at Suzhou Aviation Vocational College is expected to represent China at Miss Universe 2026. She was crowned by her predecessor, Xue Hou, who won the national title in Sanya last July. Xue will head to the Miss Universe 2025 pageant. The 23-year-old qualified beach lifeguard from Newquay, Cornwall bested 39 other contestants to win the national title. Miss America 2024 will be the 96th edition of the Miss America pageant — the nation's leading provider of scholarships for young women. The 51 state representatives have already been crowned and they will compete for the national title on January 14 at the Walt Disney Theater (Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts) in Orlando, Florida. Apart from raising the age limits to between 18 and 28, the 2024 competition under the new CEO Robin Ross-Fleming will also see other changes.
