Miss Universe Chile 2023 is Celeste Viel


Celeste Viel bested 17 other competitors to be crowned Miss Universe Chile 2023 in a national competition held on Sunday, August 13 at the Radisson Blu Plaza El Bosque Santiago.

The 23-year-old public relations student, model, and health coach representing Comunidad Extranjera also bagged the Miss Pasarela award following the swimsuit competition.

Kristina Lie of Puerto Varas placed second while Magdalena Landshut of Santiago, Amaya Butron of Rancagua, and Carla Sanchez of Antofagasta were announced as third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.

The representatives of Chicureo, Catalina Pradenas, Chiloe, Natia Tirachini, Colina, Gabriela Vasquez, La Reina, Karol Eberl, Providencia, Anais Godoy, and San Bernardo, Magdalena Cid were the rest of the Top 11 finalists.

Last year's winner who was awarded Miss Congeniality at Miss Universe 2022, Sofia Depassier, crowned her successor at the end of the event which was hosted by Miss Universe Colombia 2022 María Fernanda Aristizábal.

The new Miss Universe Chile will now prepare to represent her country at the 72nd Miss Universe (Miss Universe 2023) to be held in El Salvador this November.
