Miss World Malaysia 2023 is Saroop Roshi


Saroop Roshi was crowned Miss World Malaysia 2023 in a national competition held on Friday, August 25 at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The 24-year-old psychologist, model, and travel enthusiast hailing from Perak bested 13 other competitors to win the coveted national title.

She succeeds last year's winner, Wenanita Angang, who will be heading to Mumbai, India this November to represent Malaysia at Miss World 2023 whose final is set to be held on December 9.

Natalie Ang Ai Dee and Chai Shu Wen were named the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Vaishnavi Siva Kumar, Adlyn Jayne Andrew, and Ellesha Meschille were the rest of the Top 6 finalists.

Reigning Miss World from Poland, Karolina Bielawska, graced the glittering event as a special guest.

The new Miss World Malaysia, who is now expected to take part in the 72nd Miss World (Miss World 2024) pageant, has started a community organization "Unmask Yourself" for her Beauty With A Purpose project.

Her social initiative is dedicated to suicide prevention by advocating to save lives through hope, support, and education.

No stranger to pageantry, Saroop previously participated in Miss Grand Malaysia where she finished as first runner-up and was designated the title of Miss Global Malaysia 2019.
