Pauline Amelinckx crowned as first 'The Miss Philippines'


Miss Supranational 2023 first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx was officially crowned the first-ever "The Miss Philippines" on Thursday, August 10.

The crowning ceremony took place during the Supra-Duo Homecoming celebration event held for her and Mister Supranational 2023 semifinalist Johannes Rissler at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.

Pauline received her crown and official The Miss Philippines sash from former beauty queen and now Miss Universe Philippines national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee.

As the titleholder, the Boholana beauty represents "confidence, intelligence, and positive change in addition to being a beauty queen."

Applications are open until August 26 for the first edition of The Miss Philippines, the "newest, most innovative and modern pageant" for females of Filipino heritage, ages 18 to 32 years old, from all corners of the world.

The winners are expected to represent the Philippines at the Miss Supranational and Miss Charm pageants.

Miss Belgium 2026 is Olga Lombardo from Leuven

Olga Lombardo bested over 30 other contestants to win Miss Belgium 2026 on Saturday, February 21 at Plopsaland Belgium in De Panne. The 22-year-old pharmacy student and model of Italian and Gabonese descent succeeds last year's winner Karen Jansen. Justine Tack from Ousselghem and Aicha Verheye from Ostend were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. Kelly Godefroid, Catherine Choquet, and Albertina Rodrigues were respectively awarded Miss Sympathy, Miss Social Media and Miss Model. Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 is Kimberly de Boer from Curacao

Kimberly de Boer of Curacao beat 27 other contestants to win Reina Hispanoamericana 2026 on Saturday, February 21 in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The 21-year-old artist and painter from Willemstad became the second woman from Curacao to hold the title next to Evalina Van Putten (2011). Marta Isabel Otero of Colombia placed second (Virreina Hispanoamericana 2026) while Criselys Garcia of the Dominican Republic and Melissa Payró of Mexico were named the first and second runners-up, respectively. The rest of the runners-up were Tiffany González of Puerto Rico (3rd), Camila Chacón of Peru (4th), Emely Barile of Venezuela (5th), and Luz González of Nicaragua (6th). Miss Universe 2025, the 74th Miss Universe competition is set to take place on Friday, November 21 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Reigning Miss Universe Victoria Kjær Theilvig from Denmark will hand over her crown to her successor at the conclusion of the event. Fatima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 on Saturday, September 13 at Sala Placido Domingo (Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas) in Zapopan, Jalisco. The 24-year-old designer from Teapa, Tabasco triumphed over 30 other contestants to win the coveted national title. She will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Miss Islas Baleares, Michelle Jiménez, was crowned Miss Universe Spain 2024 during the national competition held on Wednesday, September 11 in the municipality of Guía de Isora in Tenerife. Soraya Kohlmann was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2022 in a casting event held on Saturday, July 2 at Holiday Inn Hotel Düsseldorf-Neuss. The 24-year-old former Miss Germany (2017) and business owner who hails from Leipzig succeeds last year's titleholder Hannah Seifer. The 23-year-old model bested 29 other contestants to win the prestigious national pageant. She succeeds Angélique Angarni-Filopon from Martinique.
