Miss Grand International 2024 will be hosted in Myanmar


The Miss Grand International Organization officially announced Myanmar as the host country for the Miss Grand International 2024 competition.

The special announcement was made during the final show of the Miss Grand International 2023 on Wednesday, October 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Myanmar (formerly Burma) is a Southeast Asian nation of more than 100 ethnic groups, bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos, and Thailand.

Known as the Land of the Golden Pagodas. It is famous for its Buddhism, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, and the intriguing mix of British colonial architecture and gilded pagodas.

Its capital city, Yangon (formerly Rangoon), is the country's largest city and is home to bustling markets, numerous parks and lakes, and the towering, gilded Shwedagon Pagoda, which contains Buddhist relics and dates to the 6th century.

Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2025 is Zashely Alicea Rivera

Zashely Alicea Rivera, representing Dorado, was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2025 on Thursday, August 14 at Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan. The 25-year-old psychology graduate, professional ballet dancer and model will represent Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Samarys Barbot Arroyo of Jayuya was named first runner-up while Isys Arimar Santos Crespo of  Vieques, Marisabel Rivera Negr贸n of Ponce and  Aneichka Maldonado Torres of Can贸vanas were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Universe Canada 2025 is Jaime VandenBerg

Jaime VandenBerg was announced the winner of Miss Universe Canada 2025 on Saturday, August 9 at the Chrysler Theatre in Windsor, Ontario. The 28-year-old international model and actress from Lethbridge, Alberta will represent Canada at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Karmen Brar was named first runner-up while Jabili Kandula, Malayika Kwizera, and Kamuahao Hei weret the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. The new Miss Universe Canada was crowned by her predecessor Ashley Callingbull who made the Top 12 at Miss Universe 2024 held last November in Mexico. Queensland's Lexie Brant was proclaimed the winner of Miss Universe Australia 2025 on Friday, August 15 at Crown Perth in Burswood, Western Australia. The 21-year-old model from Brisbane bested 29 other contestants to win the national competition. She will represent Australia at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Ivy Prempeh was named first runner-up while Cara Mooney, Bianca Black, and Ash Donner were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Ivana Carolina Irizarry, representing Puerto Rico, was crowned Universal Woman 2025 on Saturday, August 10 in Jaipur, India. The 30-year-old model, presenter and businesswoman made history as the first Puerto Rican woman to clinch the international title. She succeeds last year's winner Maria Gigante of the Philippines. Jennifer Ventura Marte emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2025 on Sunday, August 10 at Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito in Santo Domingo. The 27-year-old civil engineer from Barahona bested 28 other contestants to win the national title. She will represent the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. The 28-year-old medical doctor will represent Jamaica at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. She succeeds last year's winner Rachel Silvera.
