Miss Universe 2023: Voice for Change Top 10 silver finalists announced


The Miss Universe 2023 Voice for Change Top 10 silver finalists have been announced on Wednesday, November 15 during the 72nd Miss Universe preliminary competition in El Salvador.

Chosen by an esteemed selection committee and public voting, the finalists who are making waves with their impactful messages consist of Angola, Brazil, Chile, Lebanon, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, Ukraine, and Zimbabwe.

Their inspiring stories and powerful advocacy can be watched on the CI Talks official website.

"On behalf of Mouawad, CI Talks, and Miss Universe, congratulations to all the delegates who participated in the Voice for Change campaign," said CI Talks founder Fred Mouawad.

"At CI Talks, our mission is to continue enabling all the Miss Universe delegates on their journey of being ambassadors for their country and for social change. We aim to amplify their voice so they can continue improving lives, society, and ultimately the world," he continued.

"We are working hard to introduce more features to help change makers create content that inspires positive change while providing the ability for others to support by donating money or dedicating their time to the advocated cause."

The three gold winners will be announced during the Miss Universe 2023 final show this Saturday, November 18.  They will each receive a $12,000 cash prize.

Miss Hawaii USA 2023 is Savannah Gankiewicz

Miss Wailea Savannah Gankiewicz was crowned Miss Hawaii USA 2023 in a state competition held on Sunday, January 15 at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu. The 27-year-old model of Filipino, Vietnamese and Polish descent from Maui was also awarded Miss Photogenic. She will now represent Hawaii at the Miss USA 2023 pageant in Reno, Nevada later this year. Kawena Kan-Hai, Breea Yamat, Mikayla Baptista, and Ronelle Valera were announced as the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Last year's titleholder who competed in Miss USA 2022 last October, Kiana Yamat, passed the crown to her successor at the end of the event. Another winner proclaimed at the same venue was Miss Hawaii Teen USA 2023 Noelani DeNisi. She was crowned by her predecessor Malulani Paiste and will be heading to the Miss Teen USA 2023 pageant. Peru's Luciana Vasquez crowned Teen Universe 2024

Luciana Vasquez from Peru was crowned Teen Universe 2024 on Sunday, April 28 in a glittering competition held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The 18-year-old fashion model and student from Iquitos, a city in the region of Loreto, succeeds last year's winner from Mexico,  Mariana García . Valentina Colmenares of Venezuela was the first runner-up while Maria Eugênia Raposo of Brazil, Ana Paredes of Spain, and Ziari Ruiz of Nicaragua were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Jeymi Escobedo was crowned Miss World Guatemala 2024 during the glittering Miss Guatemala 2024 final on Wednesday, May 1 at Teatro Dick Smith in Guatemala City. The 18-year-old, representing the department of Suchitepéquez, succeeds  Marcela Miranda and will now prepare to represent Guatemala at the 72nd Miss World. Miss Universe Germany 2024 is Pia Theissen

Pia Theissen was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2024 on Sunday, April 28 at Living Hotel de Medici in Düsseldorf. The 25-year-old social worker, occupational therapist and yoga teacher from Cologne will now prepare to represent Germany at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico later this year. Annabelle Keller and Ilke Filiz were the first and second runners-up, respectively, while Angelina Matic, Jennifer Monreal, and Tatjana Genrich rounded out the Top 6 finalists. Miss Universe Netherlands' national director Milou Verhoeks, reigning Miss Denmark Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen, and former Miss Universe Germany Soraya Kohlmann were among the judges. The 24-year-old model and actress, representing Distrito Nacional, will now represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico later this year. Melissa Nuñez of the Dominican Community in the USA was named first runner-up while Haidy Cruz of Monte Cristi finished as the second runner-up. Wearing a fuchsia one-shoulder dress, the beauty queen arrived on Wednesday, May 1 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 via Philippine Airlines.
