Miss International Queen Philippines 2024 is Sophia Nicole Arkangel of Laguna


Sophia Nicole Arkangel was crowned Miss International Queen Philippines 2024 in a glittering event on Sunday, April 14 at Aliw Theater in Pasay City.

The 25-year-old beauty representing Laguna succeeds last year's winner Lars Pacheco. She will now prepare to represent the Philippines at Miss International Queen 2024 in Pattaya, Thailand.

Nina Marie Similatan of Davao Oriental was named first runner-up while Julian Concepcion of Manila, Sheila Magpale of Koronadal, and Mikay Bautista of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Hosted by Sean Kyle Ortega and KaladKaren, this year's show was attended by the reigning Miss International Queen from the Netherlands, Solange Dekker.

The Philippines has won the Miss International Queen title three times with Kevin Balot (2012), Trixie Maristela (2015), and Fuschia Anne Ravena (2022).

72nd Miss World heats up with contestants' arrival in Telangana, India

Miss World 2025, the 72nd Miss World competition has officially begun in Telengana, India with the arrival of over 100 contestants vying for the highly coveted title. The beauties were checked into their official residence hotel, the Trident Hotel Hyderabad, and have been rehearsing for the opening ceremony this coming Saturday, May 10 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. According to the Miss World organization, the upcoming ceremony "promises to be a vibrant display of traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances, beautifully choreographed in a parade-style theme that will highlight the rich cultural heritage of the region." Anne Baldridge was crowned Miss Maine USA 2024 in a glittering state competition held on March 10 at Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, Maine. The 25-year-old TV news reporter representing Casco Bay bested 11 other contestants to win the state title. She succeeds last year's winner Juliana Morehouse Locklear. Anne holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Louisville and a master's in journalism from Ball State University. Shelby Ann Howell of the United States of America was crowned Miss CosmoWorld 2023 in a glittering competition held on Wednesday, November 29 at The St. Regis Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Plus-sized beauty Sara Milliken was crowned the National American Miss Alabama 2024 during the state final held on May 27 at the Renaissance Marriot in Montgomery. The Miss Czech Republic 2025 national final took place on Saturday, May 3 at the Forum Karlín in Prague. Ten finalists competed the crowns at stake. Linda Górecká clinched the title of Miss World Czech Republic 2025 and is expected to represent her country at the 73rd Miss World. The 21-year-old student from Dětmarovice was crowned by none other than the reigning Miss World and Czech Republic's very own Krystyna Pyszková.
