Bryoni Govender appointed as Miss Supranational South Africa 2024


Bryoni Govender has been appointed as Miss Supranational South Africa 2024 and will represent her country at Miss Supranational 2024. The Miss South Africa organization announced on Thursday, April 11.

"This opportunity is a profound honour, marking a pivotal moment in my journey. It's a reminder that while some doors may close, others open wide, inviting us to step into new experiences," Bryoni shared on social media.

"This chance to represent South Africa is not just a personal milestone but also a platform to advocate for the cause close to my heart on an international stage," she added.

"I am committed to making the most of this opportunity, turning every challenge into a stepping stone towards success and every moment into a chance to make a lasting impact."

Bryoni is an attorney hailing from Kempton Park in Gauteng. She won first runner-up at Miss South Africa 2023 in Pretoria last August.

Shortly after the national pageant, the 26-year-old became Miss Universe South Africa 2023 and went to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. She placed in the Top 20 among 84 contestants.

The 15th Miss Supranational competition will be held on July 6 in Nowy Sącz, Poland.

Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 is Michaela Tomanová

Michaela Tomanová was crowned Miss Universe Czech Republic 2025 (Miss Universe Czechia) on Wednesday, June 25 at Chateau de Frontiere in Hlohovec. The 27-year-old mother, model and scientist from Prague will represent the Czech Republic at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Thailand this November. Completing the Top 4 finalists were Eva Brožková, Petra Šafránková, and Sarah Duong Vu Thi Thuy. France's Swann Lavigne wins Mister Supranational 2025

Pastry chef and model Swann Lavigne from France was proclaimed Mister Supranational 2025 on Saturday, June 28 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. The 25-year-old bested 37 other contestants to win the international male pageant. He succeeds last year's winner Fezile Mkhize from South Africa. Zuemerik Veeris of Curacao, Mauricio Calvo of Mexico, Michael Mazi of Nigeria and Kenneth Vincent Cabungcal of the Philippines were named the first, second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively. Miss Lebanon 2024 first runner-up Sarah Leena Boujaoude has recently been officially appointed as Miss Universe Lebanon 2025. The 20-year-old fashion model and a finance student at the American University of Beirut will represent Lebanon at Miss Universe 2025. Lao-Kiwi Abbigail Sturgin was crowned Miss Universe New Zealand 2025 on Tuesday, June 24 at the SkyCity Theatre in Auckland. Isabella Zabaneh was crowned Miss Universe Belize 2025 in a national competition held Saturday, June 28 at Belize City Civic Center. The 21-year-old beauty succeeds last year's winner Halima Hoy and will now prepare to represent Belize at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand this November. Fatima Koné was crowned Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2025 in a national competition held on Saturday, June 28 in Abidjan. The 23-year-old beauty, representing the region on Hambol, edged out 29 other contestants to win the coveted national title. Janka Végvári from Mosonmagyaróvár beat 15 other finalists to be crowned Miss World Hungary 2025 in a spectacular show on Sunday, June 22 in Budapest. The 17-year-old high school student succeeds last year's winner Andrea Katzenbach and is expected to represent Hungary at the 73rd Miss World.
