Bryoni Govender appointed as Miss Supranational South Africa 2024


Bryoni Govender has been appointed as Miss Supranational South Africa 2024 and will represent her country at Miss Supranational 2024. The Miss South Africa organization announced on Thursday, April 11.

"This opportunity is a profound honour, marking a pivotal moment in my journey. It's a reminder that while some doors may close, others open wide, inviting us to step into new experiences," Bryoni shared on social media.

"This chance to represent South Africa is not just a personal milestone but also a platform to advocate for the cause close to my heart on an international stage," she added.

"I am committed to making the most of this opportunity, turning every challenge into a stepping stone towards success and every moment into a chance to make a lasting impact."

Bryoni is an attorney hailing from Kempton Park in Gauteng. She won first runner-up at Miss South Africa 2023 in Pretoria last August.

Shortly after the national pageant, the 26-year-old became Miss Universe South Africa 2023 and went to Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador last November. She placed in the Top 20 among 84 contestants.

The 15th Miss Supranational competition will be held on July 6 in Nowy Sącz, Poland.

Spain wins second Mister Supranational title

Pedro Cordero, a 23-year-old model from Cártama (Málaga), was announced the winner of Mister Supranational 2026 during the pageant's 10th edition, which took place on Saturday, August 1, in Nowy Sącz, Poland. He became the second Spanish representative to claim the international male beauty title, following Iván Álvarez Guedes, who won in 2023. Marcél Roux from South Africa secured the first runner-up position, while Daniel Jiawei Li from China, Ramón Alcántara from the Dominican Republic, and Gabriel Castañeda from Mexico took the second, third, and fourth runner-up spots, respectively. Luren Márquez was crowned Miss Peru 2026 (Miss Universe Peru) in a special ceremony held on Wednesday, April 15 at the Teatro Municipal del Callao. The 27-year-old television presenter and model received the crown from her predecessor Karla Bacigalupo with the presence of the reigning Miss Universe Fátima Bosch from Mexico. Philippines wins second Miss Supranational crown

The 17th Miss Supranational beauty pageant was held on Friday, July 31 at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Poland. Katrina Llegado, a 28-year-old financial management graduate from the Philippines, was crowned Miss Supranational 2026 by her predecessor Eduarda Braum of Brazil. She bested over 60 other contestants to win her country's second Miss Supranational crown after Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul. Eve Gilles of France was named first runner-up while Lara Marina of Brazil, Ndah Eno of Nigeria, and Karolína Gorylová of the Czech Republic were announced the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
